3.0 USB Drivers Installation
The GPS207S has a mini-USB style connector inside that is used to program the device. Open the
GPS207. Disconnect the battery if it is connected and remove it from the enclosure. This will provide
access to the USB connector.

The communication process is handled via USB Drivers that create virtual com ports. These virtual com
ports are used to communicate with the device.
To install the drivers connect the GPS-207 to the computer using a mini-USB to USB cable (CES P/N
CBLxx). When the GPS207 is connected to the computer for the first time, or to a different USB port, the
user will be prompted to install the drivers.
The Windows operating system automatically detects the presence of a new USB device. The following
screen will be displayed:
