Usedtosettheadvancedwirelessfunctionofrouter.It’srecommendedthattheoperationwillbe
performedbytheprofessional,Becausetheincorrectsettingmightreducethewireless
performanceofrouter.
BGprotectionmode:Itwouldhelptheslowwirelesslinksuccessfullyconnectthegatewayinthe
multiplecomplexmodes.ThedefaultisAuto.  
Beaconinterval:ThegatewaysendstheBeaconbroadcastsignaltosynchronizetheconnectionof
wirelessnetwork.ItrepresentsthefrequencyofBeaconbroadcastsignal,
Thedefaultis100ms,thescopeis20‐999ms.
Databeaconratio(trafficindicationmessage):Thevalueis1~255,anditspecifiestheintervalof
deliveredtrafficindicationmessage(DTIM).
DTIMisacountdownoperationthatisusedtotellthenextclientwindowwhichwantstoreceive
thebroadcastandmulticast.Whenthegatewayhascachedthebroadcastandmulticastmessage
fortherelevantclients,itwillcarrythemessageofnextDTIMintervalinBeacon.Whentheclient
hearstheBeaconsignal,itwillreceivethebroadcastandmulticastmessage.Thedefaultis1.
Segmentationboundary:Specifythesegmentthresholdforthedatapacket.Whenthelengthof
packetexceedsthesegmentthreshold,itwillbedividedintoseveralpackets.Toomuchpacketswill
causethereductionofnetworkperformance.Sothesegmentthresholdshallnotbesettoolow.
Thedefaultis2346.
RTSboundary:SpecifytheRTS(RequesttoSend)thresholdforthedatapacket.Whenthelengthof
packetexceedstheRTSthreshold,thegatewaywilldeliverRTStothedestinationsitefor
negotiation.AfterreceivingtheRTSframe,thewirelesssitewillresponsethegatewaywithaCTS
(CleartoSend)frame,indicatingthatbothofthemcanperformthewirelesscommunication.
Transmittingpower:Usedtosetthewirelesstransmittingpowerlevel.Thedefaultis100.The
scopeis1~100.
Wi‐Fimultimediacapability:AfterWMMisenabled,ithasthewirelessqualityofservice(QOS)
function.Itcantreattheaudioandvideodataatpriorityandensuresthepreferentialdeliveryof 
audioandvideodata.Thisoptionisselectedbydefault.


3.Setthewirelesssecurityandencryptiontopreventtheunauthorizedaccessandmonitoring. 


  Encryptionmode:Canbeselectedinthepull‐downlist.Selectingtheencryptionneedstofurther
settheselectedencryptionmode.
  SelectingDisablemeansnoencryption.Afterthesettingisfinished,clickConfirmbuttontofinish
thesetup.

Thesetupofwirelesssecurityfunctioncanpreventtheothersfromunauthorizedlinkingwith
yourwirelessnetworkandoccupyingyournetworkresourcesandmeanwhileavoidthehacker’s
listen‐inandattackthatareunfavorabletoyou.Thus,thewirelessnetworksecurityisenhanced.
Ifthegatewayhasperformedthewirelesssecuritysetup,allhostsinsidethewirelessnetworkshall
besetaccordingtothesecuritysettinghere.Thepasswordsettingmustbeidentical,oritwillfail
toconnectthegatewayviathewirelessconnection.
Selecttheservicesetidentifier(SSID):thenetworknamecanselectmultipleSSIDs.
Securitymode:Theencryptionmethodcorrespondingwiththenetworkname.
