WPA/WPA2isamorepowerfulencryptionalgorithmthanWEP.Ifselectingthissecuritytype,the
gatewaywilluseRadiusservertoauthenticatetheidentityandgetWPAorWPA2securitymodeof
key.Becauseitisneededtoinstalladedicatedauthenticationserver,thecostisexpensiveandthe
maintenanceiscomplex,it’snotrecommendedforthecommonconsumertousethesecuritytype.

WPA/WPA2securitymodeincludesWPA,WPA2andWPA/WPA2.
WPA/WPA2:Ifselected,thegatewaywillautomaticallyselectWPAorWPA2securitymodeasper
thehost’srequest.
WPA:Ifselected,thegatewaywilluseWPAsecuritymode. 
WPA2:Ifselected,thegatewaywilluseWPA2securitymode.
WPAalgorithm:Usedtoselectthesecurityalgorithmforencryptingthewirelessdata.Theoptions
haveTKIP,AESandTKIP/AES.Because802.11NmodedoesnotsupportTKIPalgorithm,the
gatewaymightoperateatalowtransmittingrate.It’srecommendedtouseAESencryption.
Keyupdateinterval:Usedtosetthetimingupdateperiod(insecond)ofbroadcastandmulticast
key.Theminimumis30.Ifthevalueis0,itmeansnoupdate.
RadiusserverIPaddress:TheRadiusserverisusedtoauthenticatetheidentityofhostsinsidethe
wirelessnetwork.TheentryisusedtosettheIPaddressofserver.
Radiusport:TheRadiusserverisusedtoauthenticatetheidentityofhostsinsidethewireless
network.TheentryisusedtosettheportNo.ofRadiusauthenticationservice.
Radiussharedkey:UsedtosetthepasswordforaccessingRadiusservice.

Careandmaintenance
•Keepthetelephonedry.Ifitgetswet,wipeitdryimmediately.Liquidsmightcontainminerals
thatcancorrodetheelectroniccircuits.
•Useandstorethetelephoneinanormaltemperatureenvironment.Temperatureextremes
canshortenthelifeofelectronicdevicesanddistortormeltparts.
•Keepthetelephoneawayfromexcessivedustanddirtthatcancauseprematurewearof
parts.
•Wipethetelephonewithadampcloth
occasionallytokeepitlookingnew.Donotuseharsh
chemicals,cleaningsolvents,orstrongdetergentstocleanthesystem.

