FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is SB-969?
In response to the 2017 wildres that left people trapped in their garages with no power

purchase a battery backup garage door opener?
Yes. Beginning on July 1, 2019, the only available garage door openers in California will be

Are there any other restrictions that would require me to purchase a battery

battery backup garage door opener.
How will I know if a Chamberlain

All products on shelves after July 1, 2019, are required by law to have battery backup.
