Engineering Controls/Systems Design Information - Store and handle in well-ventilated area. If mechanical ventilation
is used, components must be acid-resistant. Handle batteries cautiously, do not tip to avoid spills. Make certain vent
caps are on securely. If battery case is damaged, avoid bodily contact with internal components. Wear protective
clothing, eye and face protection, when filling, charging, or handling batteries. Do not allow metallic materials to
simultaneously contact both the positive and negative terminals of the batteries. Charge batteries in areas with
adequate ventilation. General
dilution ventilation is acceptable.
Contrôles d'ingénierie / Informations sur la conception des systèmes - Entreposer et manipuler dans un
endroit bien ventilé. Si une ventilation mécanique est utilisée, les composants doivent être résistants aux
acides. Manipulez les piles avec précaution, ne les inclinez pas pour éviter les déversements. Assurez-vous
que les bouchons de ventilation sont bien fixés. Si le boîtier de la batterie est endommagé, évitez tout contact
corporel avec les composants internes. Portez des vêtements de protection et une protection pour les yeux et
le visage lorsque vous remplissez, chargez ou manipulez des batteries. Ne laissez pas de matériaux
métalliques entrer en contact simultanément avec les bornes positive et négative des batteries. Chargez les
batteries dans des zones bien ventilées. Une ventilation générale par dilution est acceptable.

of sulfuric acid mist are known to exceed PEL, use NIOSH or MSHA-approved respiratory
protection.
