Spartan 3 Mast
Mounted Preamplifiers
The industry standard 0064 DSB features a single 300ohm VHF/UHF input and a single 75ohm
output. Variations are available for applications requiring separate VHF and UHF inputs; 75ohm inputs; VHF
only models and models with active UHF and passive VHF passbands. They have been designed for optimized
performance with a supply voltage of +12~+22VDC from a satellite receiver. Features include: Surface-mounted
components for automated production and consistent high performance. Easiest installation in the industry. High
gain and ultra low noise figure from the latest generation transistors gives optimum sensitivity. Separate VHF
and UHF amplification plus the use of ultra linear transistors improve output capability for optimum signal
handling. Full lighting and surge protection.
Order # Mfr. # Inputs Input Imp. VHF Gain UHF Gain Power Supply (ea.)

Satellite IF Power Dividers
These low cost, yet high
performance units have
many applications in satellite
IF distribution systems.
The 2201IFD, 2401IFD and
2801IFD pass DC power from
one output to the input (or in the opposite direction).
Thus only one receiver supplies LNB power and
controls any voltage switched polarization selection.
The 2202IFD and 2404IFD pass DC power from all
outputs to the input (or in the opposite direction).
Thus all receivers can supply LNB power. Care should
be taken to ensure the input of a receiver will not be
damaged by power from another receiver. Reverse
powering protection is provided in many receivers and
systems. These splitters are particularly useful where
several multi-switches are combined together as there
is no 0.8V drop across the diodes as in 2212IFD,
2414IFD and 2818IFD. Channel Master satellite IF
multi-switches include reverse powering protection.
The 2212IFD, 2414IFD and 2818IFD will pass DC
power from any output to the input. There is a 0.8V
drop across the diodes which are included to prevent
one receiver from passing power back to another
receiver. They are particularly useful in CATV
headends as the multiple receiver LNB powering
provides redundancy against losing LNB signals due
to a receiver failure. Unused outputs should be
terminated to achieve optimum flatness, return loss
and isolation. Channel Master terminators, Model
7184 (DC blocked) and Model 7190 (not DC blocked)
are recommended. Bandwidth: 950~2150MHz.

TITAN 2TM
Mast Mounted Preamplifiers
The Titan range of mast mounted amplifiers has
been completely reengineered and updated. These
amplifiers represent the ultimate in preamplifier
performance. They are designed for use as an ultra
low noise, ultra high gain preamplifier for deepest
fringe applications and MATV headend applications.
Their very high signal handling also makes them
suitable for use as a mast mounted, ultra low noise
distribution amplifier for use in small MATV
systems. All models feature 75ohm, input and output
connections in line with modern headend engineering
practice. Models 7777 and 7778 cover both VHF
and UHF bands with separate amplification in each
band for maximum signal handling. They may be
configured for either separate or combined VHF and
UHF inputs. They include a switchable FM trap.

Drop Enclosures
These drop enclosures will house and protect
components from the elements that corrode and
shorten their lives. Drop boxes produce a professional
appearance for cable TV and satellite installations.
The Econo Box combines the design and features of
a drop box with an economical price. The Omni II
box offers simplicity of installation and professional
appearance along with a generous interior and
the ability to seal the box for drop security. The
Residential Control Box is designed to offer
visual evidence of tampering and provides for easy
maintenance. The Omni III is designed to facilitate
the proper turning radius of coaxial cables. The Omni
III is wide and deep enough to accommodate ground
blocks, splitters and power dividers used for dual
cable satellite installations. All boxes are UV
resistant and come in a neutral gray color.

FM Trap
Audio from the FM band
can overcome the audio on
adjacent television
channels 6 and 7 and
harmonics of the FM carrier. The FM trap
eliminates the entire FM band from 88 to 108MHz
reducing video noise and audio interference.
