MXxxZ17y - Set/read volume control as linear or logarithmic. Linear volume
controls give a range of -64 db to +32 db in 2 db steps. Logarithmic
volume controls give a more natural audio taper on the control with
a range of -96 dB to +11 dB.
xx = unit ID number (00 – 15, default = 00)
y = 0 = linear, 1 = logarithmic (default = 0)
The following table shows the actual audio level compared to the matrix volume
level for each of the two formats:
Linear Logarithmic
0 -64 dB 0 -96 dB
1 -62 dB 1 -77 dB
2 -60 dB 2 -66 dB
3 -58 dB 3 -58 dB
4 -56 dB 4 -52 dB
5 -54 dB 5 -47 dB

Example: MX00Z171 - This will set the volume control as logarithmic.
The response from the SVS-88 will be:
MX00-Volume is Logarithmic
Example: MX00Z17 - This will read the current volume control setting (if set to
0 the response will be Linear, if set to 1 the response will
be Logarithmic).
The response from the SVS-88 will be:
MX00-Volume is Linear
