IMPORTANT! READ BEFORE YOU USE I. GENERAL WARNING! This manual contains many WARNINGS and Cautions. Read and understand all of the WARNINGS and Cautions. Failure to assemble and use this carrier correctly may lead to serious injury or death to your passenger. • Do not operate the jogging stroller without reading and understanding this manual. • Passenger must always use seat belts. • Never leave a child unattended in jogging stroller. • Use wrist safety strap at all times.
BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE ONE Guide for Safe Use Make sure your jogging stroller fits properly. The maximum capacity for a Chariot single child jogging stroller is 75 lb (34 Kg) and for a double jogging stroller is 100 lb (45 Kg) including child and luggage or other supplies. The child’s head, including any helmet, should not project above the sunshade assembly. The child’s feet should not reach the front wheel.
BEFORE EVERY USE – CHECKLIST Make sure your jogging stroller is in proper working condition. Spend a few moments before each walk to check your jogging stroller’s systems against the following checklist: ✓ Check that your wheels are straight. ❐ Spin each wheel to check that the rim doesn’t wobble up and down or from side to side, and that the wheels are centered in the jogging stroller frame and fork. To do this, watch the rim as it passes through the brake pads, or by the frame.
BEFORE EACH USE – CHECKLIST ONE Guide for Safe Use OPEN OPEN ✓ Check attachment of all wheels. ❐ This jogging stroller is equipped with quick release wheel retention mechanisms. The quick release allows the wheel to be installed and removed without tools. For proper and safe performance, read and follow these instructions carefully: 1. Check all wheels of your jogging stroller before each use. CLOSED CLOSED Fig. 5 Front wheel. 2.
Note: If your dropouts don’t appear parallel, this is normal when the wheel is not inserted and tightened, especially on two child strollers. First ensure that both handlebar height adjustment levers are oriented in the same direction (see page 12) and the locking tension bar is correctly seated. It may be possible to slightly correct minor twisting. Use moderate, gradual movements with hands only (no tools, feet or force) to tweak in the desired direction.
USE SAFELY DURING EVERY USE ONE Guide for Safe Strolling Wear a helmet. An unprotected head is highly susceptible to injury, even from the slightest contact. Children in a stroller should wear a helmet that is comfortable, fits properly, and meets CPSC or CE safety testing standards. Helmets should be removed when not riding in the stroller to avoid entrapment in the straps. Know and observe your local pedestrian laws. • Use your jogging stroller defensively (expect the unexpected).
BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER EVERY USE TAKE CARE OF YOUR JOGGING STROLLER Keep your jogging stroller clean. To keep your jogging stroller in proper working condition, keep it clean. If your jogging stroller frame or a component is dirty, clean it with a soft damp cloth. If the fabric cover or seat is dirty, use a soft nylon brush and wash with a solution of water and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives, solvents, or bleach.
CHILD SAFETY AND RESTRAINT SYSTEM ONE Guide for Safe Use Two Children (Cavalier 2) All Cavalier models come with a padded shoulder harness. Shoulder harness length can be adjusted by removing the shoulder harness straps from either one or both of the adjustment loops. The harness is adjusted to the middle position on the small child and the long position on the larger child as in the diagram. The third and final arrangement is achieved by removing the straps from both adjustment loops. 1.

HANDLEBARS THREE Inspection, Adjustment & Lubrication Introduction The handlebar assembly is primarily responsible for your ability to steer and control the jogging stroller. Adjustment The handlebar height of your jogging stroller can be adjusted to provide increased comfort and control. Remove the child from the jogging stroller before making adjustments. To adjust the handlebar height, move the locking tension bar (Fig. 18) to its upper, unlocked position. Rotate both bar height adjustment levers (Fig.
BRAKE SYSTEM Introduction Your jogging stroller comes with 2 separate braking mechanisms. The first braking mechanism is a foot activated parking brake that locks both wheels. The parking brake is located at the center of the axle and is activated by pushing the plunger down (Fig. 21). To deactivate the brake you must lift the plunger.
WHEELS THREE Inspection, Adjustment & Lubrication Introduction The wheels allow your jogging stroller to roll down the road smoothly so the integrity of your jogging stroller wheels is crucial. Their structural soundness and their relationship to the performance of your brake are of great importance. The best maintenance of a wheel is preventative maintenance. Be aware of the things that can go wrong, so you can stop trouble before it happens.

Rear wheel 7. Depress the button located in the center of the wheel hub on the axle and then insert the rear hub axle (Fig. 29) into the axle tube (Fig. 30) until it stops. Test for wheel retention Axle tube 8. Do these two tests to ensure that you have adequately performed these procedures: • Pick the front of the jogging stroller off of the ground, and give the top of the front tire a sharp downward blow (Fig. 31). The wheel should not come off, be loose, or move from side to side.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES Adjustable Sunshade The sunshade on your stroller can be attached in 3 ways: (1) the side windows by their lower clips being hooked over the small studs, (2) the front windscreen opened by securing its lower loops over the footbar ends (with this option the side windows can also be rolled up), or (3) folded backwards over the handlebars and secured behind the seat to the velcro loop located on the end of the middle seat anchor strap attached to the locking tension bar. (Fig. 34).
