Installation of Copper Tube Size (CTS) CPVC Pipe and Fittings Systems
APPLICATOR
Use an applicator that is one-half
the size of the pipe’s diameter.
COAT WITH CEMENT
Primer is not necessary for CTS, however,
check with your local plumbing codes.
Apply a full, even coat of cement on the
outside diameter of the pipe and to the
inside hub of the fitting, and again coat
the outside of the pipe.
JOIN & CURE
While the cement is fluid, insert the pipe
into fitting hub, giving a quarter turn
to ensure an even distribution of cement
within the joint. Allow the joint to cure prior
to hydrostatic testing. See the solvent
cement manufacturer’s recommendations.
