Furniture - leg strength test
The force is applied to the leg at 1inch from
the end of the leg. Force is applied in 4
directions (Forward/rearward, side to side).
No failure/permanent deformation
35 lbf for the unit weight greater than or
equal to 40 lbs.
25 lbf for the unit weight less than 40 lbs,
the leg strength is 25 lbs.
No structural breakage when 200 lb test
load falls 6 inches to the center of the top.
For home entertainment centers, repeat
the test with 400 lb on one end of the top
with test load dropped to center of the
other half of the top
