Protecting (Arming) Merchandise with the Hummingbird Hard Tag:
1.InsertthePinthroughthedesiredareaofthegarment.(Figure 2)
NOTE: The Hummingbird Hard Tag should be on the outside of the garment
and the Pin should be on the inside. Placement should not affect how the
garment ts when it is tried on by a customer.
2.Tolockandarmtheunit,pushthePinintotheHummingbirdHardTag.
GentlytugonthegarmenttoensurethePinislocked.(Figure 3)
NOTE: Unit will play a conrmation tune and ash red. Unit is now armed and the
LED Light will continue to ash approximately once every ve seconds.
3.Merchandiseisnowsecureandreadyfordisplay.
Removing (Disarming) the Hummingbird Hard Tag from Merchandise:
1.AligntheEarsoftheManager’sKeywiththeknobontheHummingbirdHard
Tag.(Figure 4)
NOTE: The Manager’s Key Ears can be placed on either side of the Hummingbird
Hard Tag.
2.GentlypushinonthePinuntilyouhearafaintclick.RotatethePin
andgarmenttotheleft,thenpullstraightup,removingthePinfromthe
HummingbirdHardTag.(Figure 5)
3.RemovetheManager’sKey.
NOTE: Store Hummingbird Hard Tag and Pin in two separate containers for ease
of application. Product should be stored 3 feet (1 meter) from Deactivation Units.
4.Garmentisnowreadyforsale.

CAUTION: Do not place credit cards, ATM cards or magnetic
media of any kind near the Manger’s Key as this could erase
the magnetic strip.
