• Letthecustomerknowwemayhavemissedatagduringthepurchase
• Runtheentirebagoverthedeactivationpadandcheckthemerchandiseformissed
hardtags
• Apologizetothecustomerfortheinconvenienceandthankthemforshoppingatyour
store
Whenapproachingcustomers,becourteousatalltimesandnevermakeaccusationsor
threatenthecustomerinanyway.Alwaysdefertostorepoliciesandproceduresforresponding
tosystemalarms.Contactyourstoremanagerwithfurtherquestions.Itisalsoimportanttobe
consistentinthemannerinwhichalarmsituationsarehandled.
Ifthereisnoresponsetoalarms,shoplifterswillobservethisandreturntothe
storeinthehopesofchallengingboththesystemandstorepersonnel.
1.Donotspraythepedestalswithcleaningsolution.Instead,spraythecleaneronatowel
andwipedowntheantennas.
2.Donotplaceliquidsinanareawheretheycouldspillandshort‐circuitadeactivationunit.
3.CallCheckpoint’sServiceDepartmentbeforeinstallingnewcarpettoavoidcuttingthe
systemcable.
4.Turnthesystemoffifthereisremodelingorelectricalworkbeingdoneatyourstore.
Otherwise,thesystemmayalarmfornoapparentreason.
5.Donotdecoratethepedestalswithfoilorlights(i.e.Christmaslights).Thesewillinterfere
withthesystem.
