Gently wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth or paper towel. 2. To rinse the pot of any packing debris, boil and discard a pot of water (see How to Use, below).

Fill the infuser with either loose tea (about 2 teaspoons per cup) or tea bags based on the amount of water you’re heating. (Do not insert the infuser into the kettle until the water in the kettle has come to a boil.) 4. Put the inner lid, without the infuser, back on the kettle. 5. Place the kettle on the base. Ensure that both the kettle and base are steady on the surface.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE 8. CLEANING YOUR KETTLE Let tea steep according to directions or as you like, then enjoy. CAUTION: If you wish to remove the tea infuser from the lid while it is still hot (to prevent oversteeping), be sure to handle the infuser with oven mitts. Otherwise, wait until the unit has completely cooled before removing the tea infuser.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE NOTES add a small amount of food-grade white vinegar to a fresh kettle full of water and boil. After boiling, allow to cool, discard the water, and thoroughly wash and dry the kettle before your next use. HOW TO REMOVE MINERAL DEPOSITS Over time, mineral deposits may accumulate on the inside of the kettle and cause discoloration or affect the taste of the boiled water.
