TO COOK BY PROBE
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. With the probe inserted into the food in the basket, slide the basket into the unit.
Plug the other end of the thermometer into the thermometer jack on the unit.
2. Program the unit: Press the TEMP button (it will illuminate in blue), then set the
cooking temperature by pressing the or buttons. Next, set the target temperature
by pressing the PROBE button (it will turn blue), then or . Alternatively, choose
one of the probe cook preset buttons (CHICKEN, MEAT, or FISH), which automatically
sets the internal target temperature. If you’re using the MEAT preset, you can select
your preferred doneness—rare, medium-rare, medium, medium-well or well—by
repeatedly pressing the MEAT button to toggle through the choices. (See chart on
p. 12 for the target temperatures of these presets.)
