Chelsio T5/T4 Unified Wire For Linux Page 342
2. Flashing configuration file, firmware & option ROM
Chelsio legacy flash utility (cfut4.exe) is used to program the PXE Option ROM image onto
the Chelsio HBAs.
Example # 1: This example assumes you are using a USB flash drive as a storage media for
the necessary files. Follow the steps below:
i. Create a DOS bootable USB flash drive.
ii. Create CHELSIO folder on the USB flash drive.
iii. If you haven’t done already, download ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x.tar.gz from Chelsio Download
Center, service.chelsio.com
iv. Untar the downloaded package.
v. Change your working directory depending on the adapter type. For example, for T5
adapters, change your working directory to ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x/Uboot/OptionROM/T5
vi. Copy all the files and place them in the CHELSIO folder created on the USB flash drive.
vii. Plug in the USB flash drive in the system on which the Chelsio CNA is installed.
viii. Reboot the system and go into the BIOS setup.
ix. Make the USB flash drive as the primary boot device. Save the changes and exit.
x. Once the system boots from the USB flash drive, navigate to the CHELSIO directory:
C:\>cd CHELSIO
