To disconnect your phone from the computer
Note: Carefully follow your computer’s instructions to unmount the SD card and
disconnect USB devices correctly, to avoid losing information on the card.
 Unmount the SD card on your computer.
 Open the Notifications panel and touch Turn off USB storage.
 Touch Turn off USB storage in the screen that opens.
To safely remove the SD card from your phone
 Press Home, press , and touch Settings, to open the Settings
application.
 Touch SD card & phone storage.
 Touch Unmount SD card.
You can now safely remove the SD card from the phone.
To format an SD card
 Press Home, press , and touch Settings, to open the Settings
application.
 Touch SD card & phone storage.
 If necessary, touch Unmount SD card.
You can format an SD card only when it is unmounted.
 Touch Format SD card. On the screen that warns you that formatting the
SD card will erase its contents, touch Format SD card.
