Instrument Panel Cluster C B D A Your vehicle’s instrument panel is equipped with this cluster or one very similar to it. The instrument panel cluster includes these key features: A. Fuel Gauge B. Speedometer C. Tachometer D. Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge IMPORTANT: The instrument panel cluster is designed to let you know about many important aspects of your vehicle’s operation.

Getting to Know Your Equinox Manual Driver’s Seat Height and Recliner Adjustments (if equipped) Six-Way Power Driver’s Seat (if equipped) A B The manual driver’s seat height adjustment and recliner controls are located on the left side of the seat cushion. Raise the seat • Ratchet the height adjustment lever (see “A” above) upward until reaching the desired height. Lower the seat • Ratchet the lever downward until reaching the preferred height.

Heated Seats (if equipped) This feature allows you to heat the driver and/or front-passenger seat. The controls are located on the outboard sides of the front seats. Turn on the heated seat(s) • Press the forward part of the switch once to select the “High” heat setting. Press it twice for the “Low” setting. Turn off the heated seat(s) • Press the rearward part of the switch. See Section 1 of your Owner Manual.

Getting to Know Your Equinox Fold-Down Front Passenger Seatback (con’t) • Lift the recliner lever located on the right side of the seat cushion (shown above) and fold the seatback forward until it locks in the folded position. Pull up on the seat to ensure it is locked in place. Return the seatback to an upright position • Lift the recliner lever upward; then use your other hand to raise the seatback to an upright position. • Push and pull on the seatback to ensure it is locked in place.

Child Safety Seats Slide the seat forward or rearward • Lift the release bar located under the front of the seat cushion (see above) to unlock the seat. • Slide the seat to the desired position; then release the bar. • Try to move the seat forward and backward to ensure it is locked in place. See Section 1 of your Owner Manual.

Getting to Know Your Equinox Dome Lamps The dome lamps control is located on the front passenger dome lamp housing. It controls both the front and rear lamps. Turn on the dome lamps • Place the switch in the On ( I ) position. Turn off the dome lamps • Place the switch in the Off (O) position. Set dome lamps to illuminate automatically when a door is opened • Place the dome lamp switch in the AUTO position. See Section 3 of your Owner Manual.

Climate Controls Air Conditioning Press this button to turn the air conditioning system on or off. A light indicates that the air conditioning is activated. Recirculation Press this button to recirculate cabin air through the vehicle. A light indicates that the air is being recirculated. This feature can be used to prevent outside air and odors from entering your vehicle or to help heat or cool the air inside your vehicle more quickly.

Getting to Know Your Equinox AM/FM Radio with CD Player Setting the Time • Press the clock button, located on the right side of the radio. The clock symbol will appear on the display and the hour number will flash. • Turn the ADJ knob to set the hour. • Repeat the above steps to set the minutes. Note: The time can be set with the ignition on or off. Radio Controls (Power): Press this button to turn your audio system on and off.

RDM (Random): Press this button to hear the tracks in random order. Press the button again to turn off random play. : Press this button’s down arrow to go to the start of the current track or to go to the previous track. Press the button again to continue moving backward through the track. : Press this button’s up arrow to go to the start of the next track. Press it again to continue moving forward through the track.

(Mute): Press this button to silence the audio system. Press it again (or any other radio button) to turn the sound back on. If equipped with OnStar®, press and hold this button for two seconds to interact with the system. SRCE (Source): Press this button when listening to the radio to switch to a CD or a remote device. Cupholders See Section 3 of your Owner Manual. Sunroof (if equipped) The sunroof controls are located on the roof liner above your rearview mirror.

Getting to Know Your Equinox Multifunction Cargo Panel/ Security Cover This feature serves as an adjustable cargo panel or as a security cover when placed in the upper level position. The cargo panel is carpeted on one side and has a recessed plastic surface on the other — a convenient feature when carrying wet or dirty cargo. The panel includes four hooks for securing grocery bags and has a swing-down leg that allows the panel to be used as a table.

All-Wheel Drive System (if equipped) Your Equinox may be equipped with an “on-demand” All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. The system has no buttons or controls as it is completely automatic. There may be a slight engagement sound or feel when the system engages, but this is normal. See Section 4 of your Owner Manual Traction Control (Front-wheel drive models, if equipped with antilock brakes) This feature limits wheelspin on slippery surfaces.
