not established in approximately 30 seconds, the
ActiveSync
feature on the phone will take over the USB port.
In addition, an extra initialization string is needed on your
phone as a modem for setting up the GPRS server
configuration. Contact your wireless service provider for
the APN name, user name, and password.
Steps

In the
Smartphone 2003 Wireless USB Modem
Properties
window, select the
Diagnostics
tab and
click
Query Modem
. The PC sends hyper terminal
AT commands and if the modem replies back
without an error, the modem is properly installed.
Steps

After querying the modem, click the
Advanced
tab
in the
Modem Properties
dialogue window.

Type in your extra initialization string and change
the APN name as needed.

For GPRS network’s extra initialization string,
