Work Piece and Work Area Set Up
Designate a work area that is clean 1.
and well-lit. The work area must not
allow access by children or pets to
prevent distraction and injury.
Route the power cord along a safe 2.
route to reach the work area without
creating a tripping hazard or exposing
the power cord to possible damage.
The power cord must reach the work
area with enough extra length to al-
low free movement while working.
This saw is designed to trim the 3.
bottom of doors without having to
remove them from their hinges. The
door needs to be of solid construc-
tion, or you must ensure that you are
not removing the support of a hollow
door along the bottom edge.
When setting the cutting depth, 4.
be sure that the blade will only cut
through the width of the door, and will
not cut through any items behind the
door.
The door must be free of foreign ob-5.
jects and loose knots.
To prevent the door from mov-6.
ing while working, open the door
completely so that the door knob is
braced against the wall. If there is no
wall, secure the door in some manner
so that it will not move while working.
