WARNING! “Universal” means that it fits most, but not all,
car seats. Check whether the child car seat fits your car’s
seat before purchasing the product.
RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF THE
PRODUCT AND CAR SEATS
CAUTION! Read these use restrictions carefully to ensure
that the product is used safely.
The child seat is suitable for children weighing between
9 and 18 Kg.
The car seat can be fitted into the front passenger seat
or any other back passenger seat, always in a forward
facing position.
WARNING! According to car accident statistics, the back
seat of the car is safer than the front seat; it is therefore rec
-
ommended to fit the child seat in the back of the car.
To ensure maximum safety when the child car seat is fitted
in the front passenger seat of the car, it is recommended to
pull the car seat as far as possible, in order to accommo
-
date any passenger that may be seated behind. If the If the
car is equipped with a device to adjust the seat belt height,
you should fix it in the lowest position.
If the front passenger seat is equipped with a frontal airbag,
it is recommended not to fit the child car seat to this seat. If
the child car seat is fitted to any seat protected by airbags,
always follow the car’s instruction manual.
The seat must always be fitted in a front-facing position
(diagram 1). Never use this child car seat on side-facing
or rear-facing car seats. Only suitable if the vehicle is fit
-
ted with 3-point static or 3-point retractor safety belts (dia
-
gram 2) approved to UN/ECE Regulation No. 16, or other
equivalent standard.
WARNING! Never fit the child car seat to a seat that is
only equipped with a horizontal 2 point lap safety belt
(diagram 3).
FITTING THE CHILD CAR SEAT
INTO THE CAR
WARNING! NEVER USE THE CAR’S SAFETY BELT IN ANY
OTHER POSITION THAN THOSE INDICATED IN THESE
INSTRUCTIONS: IT COULD COMPROMISE THE CHILD’S
SAFETY!
The slots to insert the cars safety belts are highlighted on
the child car seat with red signs and adhesive labels.
Warning! These instructions and diagrams are for the instal
-
lation of the child car seat on the right rear seat. To fit the
child car seat in other position, carry out the operations in
the same order.
1. Place the child car seat on the desired car seat (diagram
4).
Warning: Ensure that there are no objects placed between
the child car seat and the car seat, or the child car seat
and car door.
2. Recline the back of the child car seat fully, pulling the
lever located under the seat towards you (diagram 25).
3. Pull the car safety belt by sliding it in the space between
the backrest and base of the child car seat (diagram 5).
4. Insert the horizontal part of the car safety belt under the
corresponding red guides G1 and G2 (diagram 6).
5. Pull out the safety belt from the other side of the child car
seat, and fasten it to the seat’s buckle (diagram 7).
6. Open the G3 clamp located on the door side by pressing
the lever (diagram 8).
7. Insert the clamp on the diagonal safety belt of the car,
placing it exactly as shown in diagram 9. When released,
the G3 clamp automatically returns to the locked position
(diagram 10).
8. Pull the diagonal part of the car safety belt firmly, ensuring
that the child car seat is properly fitted to the car seat.
9. Insert the upper part of the diagonal belt inside the G4
guide, placing it exactly as shown in diagram 12.
10. Pull the safety belt in the direction shown in diagram 13
firmly, in order to tighten also the last part of the belt.
Warning: Exercise some pressure with your hand on the
safety belts, in the two points indicated in diagram 12 A, to
check that all the parts of the car safety belt are tensioned
correctly.
This is to ensure that the safety belt has been fixed correctly
(diagram 14).
Warning! At the end of the operations, the child car seat
must be tightly fitted to the car seat. If the child car seat is
not tightly and safely fitted to the car seat, repeat the instal
-
lation.

SURE THAT THE CHILD CAR SEAT IS FITTED CORRECTLY
WARNING! To ensure your child’s safety, after fitting the
child car seat ALWAYS check that:
• The vehicle safety belt is not twisted in any point.
• The safety belt is tightened correctly in all its parts.
No objects are placed between the car door and the child
car seat, or between any folding or rotating car seats and
the child car seat itself.
PLACING THE CHILD IN THE SEAT
Before seatting your child in the seat, press the harness ad-
justment button and, at the same time, hold the two child car
seat harnesses under the shoulder straps, and pull them
towards you in order to slacken them (diagram 15).
Unfasten the buckle of the child car seat harnesses by
pressing the red button (diagram 16), and pull the harness
-
es in an outward direction. Now the child can be placed
onto the seat (diagram 17).
Warning! Always check that the child is sitting with its back
correctly placed against the backrest of the child car seat
(diagram 18).
Position the crotch strap correctly, take the harnesses,
overlap the two buckle straps (diagram 19) and push them
together firmly inside the buckle slot, until a “click” is heard
(diagram 20).
To ensure maximum safety, the two straps have been de
-
signed to prevent the fastening of a single strap.
ADJUSTING THE HEAD REST AND THE
HARNESSES
The height of the headrest and restraint harnesses can be
simultaneously adjusted to 6 positions by pressing the lever
located at the rear (diagram 22).
Warning! To adjust them correctly, the headrest must be
adjusted in order to allow that the harnesses come out from
the backrest at the height of the childs shoulders (diagram
21).
To adjust the height, press the adjustment lever located at
the rear of the back rest (diagram 22), and simultaneously
move the head rest until the desired position is reached
(diagram 23); release the lever and move the head rest
until a click is heard, indicating that it is correctly locked
into position.
To tighten the restraint harnesses of the child car seat, pull
the adjustment strap of the restraint harnesses (diagram
24), until they are correctly fitted to the child’s body.
After tightening the restraint harnesses, hold the shoulder
straps and pull them in a downward direction.
CAUTION! Do not over-tighten the harnesses. If you can in
-
sert one finger between the harness and your child’s shoul-
ders, it means that they are tightened correctly
WARNING! Ensure that the harnesses are not twisted, espe
-
cially on your child’s abdomen.
ADJUSTING THE SEAT INCLINATION
The seat can be reclined to 5-positions.
To adjust the seat inclination, pull the lever located under
the seat towards you (diagram 25).
