Upgrading the Hard Disk Drive(s) 6 - 11

Removing the Hard Disk from the Secondary HDD Bay (Model C/D)

Note that the secondary hard disk (Model C/D if installed) is located under the op-

tical device bay (CD/DVD).

1. Turn the computer off, remove the AC/DC adapter, turn it over and remove the bat-

tery.

2. Remove the optical device (see “Upgrading the Optical Device (Model C/D)” on

page 6 - 5)

3. When the optical device is removed the secondary HDD assembly will be visible.

4. Remove screws - from the secondary HDD assembly.



should be identical (the

same size and brand) in

order to prevent unex-

pected system behavior.
