Create the virtual Fibre Channel mappings that will allow the client partition to
see what was previously the standalone server’s rootvg SAN LUN.
2. Create the virtual Fibre Channel server adapter on the Virtual I/O Server.
Something similar to the highlighted portion of Figure 6-2 is what you should
see when this step is complete.

3. Create the virtual Fibre Channel client adapter on the client partition. If you
want the adapter and storage to be visible after the partition shutdown, save
the configuration to a new profile and use the new profile when starting up the

standalone SAN rootvg before shutting down your standalone machine for
migration. This will be required for the virtual Fibre Channel when rootvg is
started on the client partition.
