Regulation requirements on additional spotlights
Make sure Oscar
®
and Super Oscar
®
installations on your vehicle are complying with road regulation requirements applied in your country. For an optimal use, have Oscar
®
and Super Oscar
®
installed by
a licensed professional.
According to ECE rules (R48), a passenger car can be tted with up to 4 high beam (or main beam) light units. If the vehicle is already equipped with 4 standard high beam spotlights, make sure you have
no more than 4 high beam turned ON simultaneously. Spotlights have to be paired and be tted to the vehicle symmetrically in relation to the median longitudinal plane.
The aggregate maximum intensity of the high beam/main beam spotlights which can be switched ON simultaneously shall not exceed 430,000 cd, which corresponds to a reference value of 100. This
maximum intensity is obtained by adding together the individual reference marks which are indicated on each headlight. For the headlights marked «R» or «CR», the reference is 10.
In accordance with the European regulation ECE R48, up to 6 additional spotlights can be tted on trucks over 12 tons although the limitations of having no more than 4 simultaneously turned ON
spotlights and their maximum intensity still apply.
Specic rules
According to specic regulations in the USA, additional spotlights have to be independent from original high beam electric systems and equipped with ON/OFF switches.

de route allumés simultanément. Les projecteurs doivent être montés par paire et de façon symétrique par rapport au plan longitudinal.
L’intensité maximum des feux de route pouvant être allumés en même temps ne doit pas dépasser 430000 cd, ce qui correspond à une valeur référence de 100. Cette intensité maximum est obtenue
en ajoutant les références qui sont indiquées sur chaque projecteur. Pour les projecteurs marqués de la référence «R» ou «CR», la référence correspond à 10.
D’après la régulation européenne ECE (R48), jusqu’à 6 projecteurs additionnels peuvent être montés sur les camions de plus 12 tonnes, les règles stipulant de ne pas avoir plus de 4 projecteurs allumés
simultanément ainsi que l’intensité maximale s’appliquant toujours.

Gemäß der ECE-Regelung (R48) dürfen Pkw mit bis zu 4 Fernscheinwerfern ausgestattet sein. Ist das Fahrzeug bereits mit 4 Standard-Fernscheinwerfern ausgestattet, so müssen Sie sicherstellen, dass
nie mehr als 4 gleichzeitig eingeschaltet sind. Die Schweinwerfer müssen paarweise und symmetrisch zur mittleren Längsachse angeordnet sein.
Die maximale Lichtstärke aller gleichzeitig einschaltbaren Fernscheinwerfer darf 430.000 cd, d.h. die Referenzzahl 100, nicht übersteigen. Diese maximale Lichtstärke kann man durch Addieren der auf
allen Schweinwerfern verzeichneten Referenzzahlen errechnen. Ist auf dem Scheinwerfer die Angabe „R“ oder „CR“verzeichnet, so entspricht dies der Referenzzahl 10.
Gemäß der EU-Regelung ECE R48 können an Lkw der Gewichtsklassen über 12 Tonnen bis zu 6 Zusatzscheinwerfer angebracht werden, wobei allerdings auch hier nur 4 Scheinwerfer gleichzeitig
eingeschaltet sein dürfen und die Regel bezüglich der maximalen Lichtstärke ebenfalls gilt.
Besondere Bestimmungen
In den USA gelten besondere Bestimmungen, nach denen Zusatzscheinwerfer separat vom elektrischen System der Original-Fernscheinwerfer installiert werden und mit Ein-Aus-Schaltern ausgestattet
sein müssen.

ellos encendidos al mismo tiempo. Los faros tienen que ir por pares e instalarse en el vehículo de manera simétrica respecto al plano medio longitudinal.
La intensidad adicional máxima de los faros de luz alta o principales que pueden estar encendidos simultáneamente no debe superar las 430.000 cd, lo que corresponde a un valor de referencia de 100.
Esta intensidad máxima se obtiene sumando los valores de referencia indicados con letras en cada faro. Para los faros marcados con «R» o «CR», la referencia es 10.

w pojeździe jest zgodny z przepisami drogowymi obowiązującymi w kraju użytkowania. W celu optymalnego wykorzystania reektorów
Oscar
®
i Super Oscar
®
, ich montaż należy zlecić profesjonaliście.
Według przepisów ECE (R48), samochód osobowy można wyposażyć maksymalnie w 4 światła drogowe (lub światła główne). Jeżeli pojazd wyposażono już w 4 standardowe reektory świateł
drogowych, należy pamiętać o tym, aby nie włączać jednocześnie więcej niż 4 świateł drogowych. Reektory należy montować parami i zamontować w pojeździe symetrycznie w stosunku do środkowej
płaszczyzny wzdłużnej.
Maksymalne, łączne natężenie świateł drogowych, które mogą być włączone jednocześnie, nie może przekraczać 430 000 cd, co odpowiada wartości odniesienia 100. Powyższe natężenie maksymalne

End-outline marker lights / Position lights
End-outline marker lamps are mandatory for trucks over 2,1m wide and optional for trucks between 1,8m and 2,1m wide.
They have to be installed above the windshield, near to the extreme outer edge (400 mm max) and the highest as possible
on the vehicle, intended to indicate clearly the vehicle’s overall width.
