Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)

Manually Launching a VPN Connection

Whenever you are connected to the Internet, you can launch a pre-

configured VPN connection by clicking the VPN button in the Main

Window.

Supported VPN Clients

The Cingular Communication Manager currently supports VPN client

software from the following vendors.

• Microsoft

• Cisco

• Nortel

• Checkpoint (please read

)

• NetMotion (please read

)

Note that support for any of these clients can be disabled by the user.

Other VPN clients can operate with Cingular Communication Manager, but

non-supported client software must be configured manually. See

Configuring a VPN Connection for more information.
