Deleting Cisco ISDN BRI Voice Gateway External Nodes
To delete Cisco ISDN BRI voice gateway external nodes from your provisioning data, perform the
following steps:
Step 1 Set the interface on the external node that is associated with the Cisco MGC software to the
out-of-service (OOS) state. Refer to the documentation for your voice gateway for more information on
taking interfaces OOS.
Step 2 Start a provisioning session as described in the “Starting a Provisioning Session” section on page 9.
Step 3 Delete the QSIG/Q.931 Over BRI Backhaul D-channels for this external node, as described in the
“Deleting QSIG/Q.931 Over BRI Backhaul D-Channels” section on page 27.
Step 4 Delete the Backhaul TCP links for this external node, as described in the “Deleting Backhaul TCP
Links” section on page 28.
Step 5 Delete the Backhaul TCP links for this external node, as described in the “Deleting Backhaul TCP
Links” section on page 28.
Step 6 If your system uses IP routes for this external node, delete the IP routes as described in the “Deleting IP
Routes” section on page 29.
Step 7 Delete the QSIG/Q.931 Over BRI Backhaul signaling service by performing the steps in the “Deleting
an QSIG/QBRI Over BRI Backhaul Signaling Service” section on page 29.
Step 8 Delete the MGCP signaling service by performing the steps in the “Deleting MGCP Signaling Services”
section on page 30.
Step 9 Enter the following command to delete a Cisco ISDN BRI voice gateway external node:
mml>prov-dlt:extnode:name="name"
Where name is the MML name of the Cisco ISDN BRI voice gateway external node to be deleted.
For example, to delete a Cisco ISDN BRI voice gateway external node named va-3640-01, you enter the
following command:
mml>prov-dlt:extnode:name="va-3640-01"
Step 10 If there are no other components that you need to delete, end your provisioning session as described in
the “Saving and Activating Your Provisioning Changes” section on page 10.
Deleting QSIG/Q.931 Over BRI Backhaul D-Channels
To delete QSIG/Q.931 Over BRI Backhaul D-channels from your provisioning data, perform the
following steps:
Step 1 Set the service state of the QSIG/Q.931 Over BRI Backhaul D-channel to OOS, as described in the
“Setting the Service State of a D-Channel” section on page 33.
Step 2 If you do not already have an active provisioning session, start one as described in the “Starting a
Provisioning Session” section on page 9.
Step 3 Enter the following command to delete an QSIG/Q.931 Over BRI Backhaul D-channel:
mml>prov-dlt:dchan:name="name"
Where name is the MML name of the QSIG/Q.931 Over BRI Backhaul D-channel you want to d elete.
