ANTENNA/CATV CONNECTIONS Combination VHF/UHF Antenna This television has an extended tuning range and can tune most cable channels without using a cable company supplied converter box. Some cable companies offer "premium pay channels" in which the signal is scrambled. Descrambling these signals for normal viewing requires the use of a descrambler device which is generally provided by the cable company.
AUDIO/VIDEO JACK CONNECTIONS 4. To connect the TV to a Video Component with an S-VIDEO Cable. Set the TV/AV selection for this connection, to AUX1. If you connect a Video component with an S-video cable to the S-VIDEO IN jack on the rear of TV, you must also connect the audio cables to the AUDIO IN jacks on the rear of the TV. The S-video cable only carries the video signal. The audio signal is separate.
TO MEMORIZE CHANNELS This TV is equipped with a channel memory feature which allows channels to skip up or down to the next channel set into memory, skipping over unwanted channels. Before selecting channels, they must be programmed into the TV's memory. In addition to normal VHF and UHF channels, this TV can receive up to 113 Cable TV channels. To use this TV with an antenna, set the TV/CATV menu option to the TV setting. When shipped from the factory, this menu option is in the CATV setting.
WHAT IS CLOSED CAPTIONING? This television has the capability to decode and display Closed Captioned television programs. Closed Captioning will display text on the screen for hearing impaired viewers or it will translate and display text in another language. TO VIEW CLOSED CAPTIONS Press the TV/CAP/TEXT button on the remote control to switch between normal TV and the two Closed Caption Modes (Captions and 1/2 of Full Screen Text).
ADJUSTING PICTURE You can adjust the settings for colour, sharpness, contrast, brightness and tint. 4 1 Press the MENU button. 2 Press the SET + or – button until the indicator next to “PICTURE” begins to flash, then press the ENTER button. RACCORDEMENT DES ANTENNES Ce téléviseur a une gamme de syntonisation étendue et peut capter la plupart des canaux sans utiliser un convertisseur. Le câble S-Vidéo ne transmet que le signal vidéo. Le signal audio est séparé.
MISE EN MÉMOIRE DES CANAUX Les canaux disponibles dans votre région peuvent être programmés dans la mémoire de ce téléviseur. Ce qui permet de balayer tous les canaux mémorisés, en ordre croissant/décroissant, ou de sauter les canaux non désirés. Avant de pouvoir syntoniser les canaux ainsi, ils doivent avoir été mis en mémoire, En plus de recevoir les canaux VHF et UHF, ce téléviseur peut aussi capter jusqu'à 113 canaux provenant d’un réseau de câblodistribution.
QUE SIGNIFIE SOUS-TITRAGE? Ce téléviseur a la capacité de décoder et d’afficher les émissions télévisées avec sous-titres. Ces émissions sont télédiffusées avec un signal comportant des sous-titres en une ou même plusieurs langues parfois. POUR VOIR LES SOUS-TITRES Appuyez sur la touche TV/CAP/TEXT sur la télécommande pour commuter entre le mode de télévision normale et les deux modes de sous-titrage: sous-titres (Caption) et texte couvrant moitié de l’écran (Text 1/2 of Full Screen).
