XIII - INJECTION ECU (1320)

A - ROLE

The ECU software performs:

• the functions for controlling injection and depollution,

• the control of particle filter regeneration,

• the driving pleasure strategies,

• the emergency strategies,

• the control of the fan units and warning LEDs (*),

• the diagnostic function with memorising of faults,

• the dialogue with the fuel additive ECU,

• the dialogue with the automatic gearbox ECU (*),

• the dialogue with the electronic stability program ECU (*).

(*) depending on equipment.

B - DESCRIPTION

The ECU is responsible for electrically controlling the following components:

• differential pressure sensor,

• exhaust gas temperature sensor (upstream of the catalytic converter),

• inlet air heater throttle control electrovalve.
