Childseatinthefront*
Rearward facing Forward facing
Passenger seat adjusted to the intermediate
longitudinal position.
Ensure that the seat belt is correctly
tensioned.
Forchildseatswithasupportleg,
ensurethatthesupportlegisinstable
contactwiththefloor.Ifnecessary,
adjustthepassengerseat.
Whenarearwardfacingchildseatisinstalled
on the front passenger seat,adjusttheseatto
theintermediatelongitudinalposition,withthe
backreststraightened.
Thepassenger'sfrontairbagmustbe
deactivated.Otherwise,the child would
risk being seriously injured or killed if the
airbag were to inflate.
Whenaforwardfacingchildseatisinstalledon
the front passenger seat,adjustthevehicle's
seattotheintermediatelongitudinalposition
withseatbackreststraightenedandleavethe
passenger'sfrontairbagactivated.
