In the event of a breakdown
Runningoutoffuel(Diesel)
OnvehiclesfittedwithHDiengines,thefuel
systemmustbeprimedifyourunoutoffuel.
e-HDi 92 engine
F Fillthefueltankwithatleastfivelitresof
diesel.
F Openthebonnet.
F Ifnecessary,unclipthestylingcoverfor
accesstotheprimingpump.
F Squeezeandreleasetheprimingpump
repeatedlyuntilresistanceisfelt(there
mayberesistanceatthefirstpress).
F Operatethestarteruntiltheenginestarts
(iftheenginedoesnotstartatthefirst
attempt,waitaround15secondsbefore
tryingagain).
F Iftheenginedoesnotstartafterafew
attempts,operatetheprimingpumpagain
thenstarttheengine.
F Clipthestylingcoverbackinplace.
F Closethebonnet.
Iftheenginedoesnotstartfirsttime,
don'tkeeptryingbutstarttheprocedure
againfromthebeginning.
BlueHDi engine
F Fillthefueltankwithatleastfivelitresof
Diesel.
F Switchontheignition(withoutstartingthe
engine).
F Waitaround6secondsandswitchoffthe
ignition.
F Repeattheoperation10times.
F Operatethestartertoruntheengine.
