Dynamic stability control
(DSC) and anti-slip regulation
(ASR)
TheDSCsystemoffersexceptional
safetyinnormaldriving,butthisshould
notencouragethedrivertotakeextra
risksordriveathighspeed.
Thecorrectoperationofthesystem
dependsonobservationofthe
manufacturer'srecommendations
regardingthewheels(tyresandrims),
thebrakingcomponents,theelectronic
componentsandtheassemblyand
repairproceduresusedbyCITROËN
dealers.
Afteranimpact,havethesystem
checkedbyaCITROËNdealerora
qualifiedworkshop.
Activation
Thesesystemsareactivatedautomatically
eachtimethevehicleisstarted.
Assoonastheydetectaproblemofgripor
trajectory,thesesystemsactontheoperationif
theengineandbrakes.
Deactivation
Inexceptionalconditions(startingavehicle
whichisboggeddown,stuckinsnow,onsoft
ground...),itmaybeadvisabletodeactivate
theDSCsystem,sothatthewheelscanmove
freelyandregaingrip.
Thisisindicatedbyflashingofthis
warninglampintheinstrumentpanel.
Operating fault
Butitisrecommendedthatthesystembe
reactivatedassoonaspossible.
F Pressthebutton.
Thiswarninglampandtheindicator
lampinthebuttoncomeon:the
DSCsystemnolongeractsonthe
operationoftheengine.
Reactivation
Thesystemisreactivatedautomaticallyeach
timetheignitionisswitchedbackonorfrom
30mph(50km/h).
F Pressthebuttonagainto
reactivateitmanually.
Ifthiswarninglampcomeson,
accompaniedbyanaudiblesignal
andamessage,thisindicatesafault
withthesystem.
