11 Motoring & Environment ENVIRONMENT As the driver, you also can contribute to protecting the environment by following certain rules: adopt a preventive style of driving, without frequent and harsh acceleration, observe the service intervals; we recommend that services are carried out by a CITROËN dealer, authorised to collect used batteries and fluids, in order to preserve the reliability of the engine and emission control systems, do not use engine oil additives.
12 ECO-DRIVING Eco-driving is a range of everyday practices that allow the motorist to optimise their fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Optimise the use of your gearbox Control the use of your electrical equipment With a manual gearbox, move off gently and change up without waiting. While accelerating changing up early. If your vehicle has the system, the gear efficiency indicator invites you to engage the most suitable gear; follow its instructions as soon as it is displayed in the instrument panel.
13 Observe the recommendations on maintenance Spread loads throughout the vehicle; place the heaviest items in the bottom of the boot, as close as possible to the rear seats. Limit the loads carried in the vehicle and reduce wind resistance (roof bars, roof rack, bicycle carrier, trailer...). Use a roof box in preference. Remove roof bars and roof racks after use. Check the tyre pressures regularly, when cold, referring to the label in the door aperture, driver's side.
14 Access 3-BUTTON REMOTE CONTROL Unlocking the cab A short press on this button unlocks your vehicle's cab. The interior courtesy lamp comes on briefly and the direction indicators flash twice. A long press on this button opens the windows (depending on equipment). The indicator lamp in the central locking button, located in the dashboard, goes off. Unlocking the load space Press this button to unlock the side door and the rear doors of the load space. The direction indicators flash twice.
Deadlocking 15 Access Press this button twice in succession to deadlock the vehicle. It is then impossible to open the doors from the inside or the outside. The direction indicators flash three times. Never leave anyone inside the vehicle when it is deadlocked. Central locking Central unlocking Pressing this button simultaneously locks all of your vehicle's doors. If one of the doors is open or not fully closed, the central locking does not take place. The direction indicators flash twice.
16 Access KEY REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY This locks and unlocks the doors on the vehicle, opens and closes the fuel filler cap, as well as starting and stopping the engine. Reference: CR 2032/3 volts. Changing the battery - - Press the button to eject the key. Turn the screw 1 from the closed padlock to the open padlock using a screwdriver with a thin lip. Use the screwdriver as a lever to extract the battery holder housing 2. - Remove the housing and change the battery 3 observing the polarities.

18 Access ELECTRONIC IMMOBILISER All of the keys contain an electronic immobiliser device. This device locks the engine supply system. It is activated automatically when the key is removed from the ignition. After the ignition is switched on, a dialogue is established between the key and the electronic immobiliser system. This warning lamp is switched off after the ignition is switched on and the key has been recognised, the engine can be started.
ALARM Remote control fault Good practice If your vehicle is fitted with an anti-theft alarm. This provides: exterior perimeter protection by detectors on the openings (doors, bonnet) and on the electrical power supply, anti-tilt protection*. Unlock the doors using the key, the alarm is triggered. Switch on the ignition, recognition of the key's code turns off the alarm.
20 Access FRONT DOORS Driver's door Use the remote control to unlock/lock. SLIDING SIDE DOOR Take care not to obstruct the guide space on the floor in order for the door to slide correctly. From outside Pull the handle towards you then towards the rear. From inside Child lock To unlock and open, push the handle towards the rear. Ensure that the door opens fully in order for the latch at the bottom of the door to engage. To release and close, pull the handle while sliding the door.
21 Access From outside Pull the handle towards you. The two hinged doors open to 96°. Opening/Closing the doors To open, pull the handle towards you then pull the lever to open the left-hand door. To close, start with the left-hand door then close the right-hand door. Opening to 180° If your vehicle is fitted with this equipment, a retractable check strap system permits extending of the opening from 96° to 180°. Press the button, located on the door trim pad, to widen the angle of the door.
Access 22 Load space Press to lock or unlock the side door and rear doors from the cab. The warning lamp remains on on locking. Anti-intrusion security When the vehicle is started, the system locks the cab and load space doors automatically when you reach approximately 12 mph (20 km/h). If none of the doors is opened during the journey, the locking remains active. LOCKING / UNLOCKING FROM INSIDE Cab and load space Pressing permits electric central locking and unlocking, when the doors are closed.

24 Instruments and controls WARNING LAMPS Every time the engine is started: a series of warning lamps comes on, applying a self-checking test. They go off almost immediately. When the engine is running: a warning lamp becomes a warning sign if it remains on continuously or flashes. This initial warning may be accompanied by an audible signal and a message in the screen. "Do not ignore these warnings.

32 Instruments and controls FUEL GAUGE COOLANT TEMPERATURE The fuel level is tested every time the ignition is turned on. The gauge is positioned on: F (Full): the fuel tank is full, approximately 90 litres. E (Empty): the reserve is now being used, the low fuel warning lamp comes on continuously. The reserve when the warning first comes on is approximately: 10 litres for 60 and 90 litre tanks, 12 litres for 125 litre tanks.
Instruments and controls EOBD (European On Board Diagnosis) is a diagnostics system which complies with, among others, the standards concerning authorised emissions of: CO (carbon monoxide), HC (unburnt hydrocarbons), NOx (nitrous oxides) or particles, detected by oxygen sensors placed upstream and downstream of the catalytic converters. The driver is warned of any malfunction of this emission control system by the illumination of this specific warning lamp in the instrument panel.
34 Instruments and controls Under-inflation alert The alert is given by the fixed illumination of this warning lamp, accompanied by an audible signal, and depending on equipment, the display of a message. In the event of a problem on one of the tyres, the symbol or the message appears, according to equipment, to identify it. Reduce speed, avoid sudden steering movements or harsh brake applications. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
SERVICE INDICATOR Reminder of servicing information Deterioration of the engine oil For a few seconds after the ignition is switched on, the spanner symbolising the service indicator comes on: the screen informs you when the next service is due, in accordance with the servicing schedule indicated in the maintenance and warranty guide. This information is determined in relation to the distance travelled since the previous service.
36 Gearbox and steering wheel GEAR EFFICIENCY INDICATOR MANUAL GEARBOX To change gear easily, always depress the clutch pedal fully. To prevent the mat from becoming caught under the pedal: ensure that the mat is positioned correctly, never fit one mat on top of another. Avoid leaving your hand on the gear knob as the force exerted, even if slight, may wear the internal components of the gearbox over time. Reverse gear Raise the collar under the gear knob to engage reverse gear.
37 Gearbox and steering wheel STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT Switching off The information appears in the instrument panel screen in the form of the SHIFT indicator, accompanied by an upward arrow to signal to the driver that they can change up. The system adapts its gear change recommendations according to the driving conditions (slope, load, ...) and demands from the driver (for power, acceleration, braking, ...). This system cannot be deactivated by the driver.
Starting and stopping 38 With the engine hot, the warning lamp comes on for a few moments, you can start the engine without waiting. As soon as the engine is running, release the key. Door or bonnet open warning lamp If this warning lamp comes on, check that the doors and bonnet are closed correctly. IGNITION SWITCH STOP position: steering lock. The ignition is off. MAR position: ignition on. Certain accessories can be used. AVV position: starter. The starter is operated. A heavy object (key fob...
39 Starting and stopping HILL START ASSIST Operation With the brake pedal and clutch pedal pressed, from the time you release the brake pedal you have approximately 2 seconds before the vehicle starts to roll back and without using the parking brake within which to move off. During the moving off phase, the function is deactivated automatically, gradually releasing the braking pressure.
40 Starting and stopping STOP & START The Stop & Start system puts the engine temporarily into standby - STOP mode during stops in the traffic (red lights, traffic jams, or other...). The engine restarts automatically - START mode - as soon as you want to move off. The restart takes place instantly, quickly and silently. Perfect for urban use, the Stop & Start system reduces fuel consumption and exhaust emissions and offers the comfort of complete silence when stationary.
41 Starting and stopping With the vehicle in gear, automatic engine restarting is only allowed by fully depressing the clutch pedal. - The "S" warning lamp goes off and the engine restarts. If following an automatic restart in START mode, the driver takes no action on the the vehicle during the next 3 minutes, the system stops the engine definitively. The engine can then only be restarted using the key.
42 Starting and stopping Reactivation Maintenance Press the "A - OFF" switch again. The system is active again; the switch warning lamp going off and a message in the instrument panel screen confirm reactivation. Before working under the bonnet, you must switch off the ignition with the key to avoid any risk of injury resulting from automatic operation of START mode. Deactivation Operating fault At any time, press the "A - OFF" switch to deactivate the system.
Sound control Acoustic comfort Your vehicle benefits from a suspension which contributes to improving general comfort. These developments also contribute to reducing noise disturbance. The underseal under the body, on the body sills and on the wheel arches considerably reduces noise and protects the body from external attack.
44 Steering mounted controls LIGHTING CONTROL STALK "Motorway" function Selection is by rotation of the white mark on the ring. Pull the lever towards the steering wheel with a press, without passing the point of resistance of the lighting stalk; the corresponding direction indicators will flash five times. Sidelamps on Dipped/main beam headlamps on Switching between dipped and main beam Direction indicators (green flashing) Left: downwards. Right: upwards.
On starting the vehicle, in daylight the LED daytime running lamps come on automatically. If the sidelamps and headlamps are switched on manually or automatically, the daytime running lamps go off. Programming For countries where exterior lighting by day is not a legal requirement, you can activate or deactivate the function via the configuration menu. AUTOMATIC ILLUMINATION If your vehicle is fitted with this function, the dipped beam headlamps are switched on automatically if the light is poor.
Steering mounted controls 46 Travelling abroad If using your vehicle in a country that drives on the other side of the road, the headlamps must be adjusted to avoid dazzling on-coming drivers. Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. PARKING LAMPS HEADLAMP BEAM This system enables you to leave the lamps on when parked; with the ignition off, key in the STOP position or key removed. Move the ring on the lighting stalk to position O then to dipped or main beam headlamps.
When washing the vehicle, switch off the ignition or deactivate the automatic rain sensitive wipers. 47 Steering mounted controls Good practice Check that the windscreen wiper blades can operate freely when using the wipers in icy weather. Use the step in the front bumper, to remove any accumulation of snow at the base of the windscreen and on the blades. Slow continuous wiping: 2 notches downwards. Windscreen wipers Fast continuous wiping: 3 notches downwards.
48 Steering mounted controls CRUISE CONTROL "This is the speed at which the driver wishes to travel". This aid to driving in free-flowing traffic conditions enables the vehicle to maintain a constant speed programmed by the driver, except when a considerable load is carried on a steep gradient. In order to be programmed or activated, the vehicle speed must be greater than approximately 25 mph (40 km/h), with at least 4th gear engaged.
Steering mounted controls Selecting ON switches the function on. A message appears in the instrument panel screen to confirm the action. Changing the programmed speed while the cruise control is in operation You can: - Programming a speed Accelerate to the required speed, with 4th or 5th gear engaged. Move the control upwards (+), for approximately one second, to store this speed. Release the pressure on the accelerator pedal, the vehicle will maintain this speed.
50 Steering mounted controls Cancelling the programmed speed Good practice When the vehicle stops, after the ignition is switched off, the system no longer stores any speed. When changing the programmed reference speed by pressing and holding the control, take care as the speed may increase or decrease rapidly. Do not use the cruise control on slippery roads or in heavy traffic. On a steep gradient, the cruise control will not be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmed speed.
This cruise control shows the status of the system in the instrument panel screen and displays the programmed speed: 51 Steering mounted controls Function selected, displaying of the "Cruise Control" indicator light. Function activated (example at 107 km/h). CRUISE CONTROL "This is the speed at which the driver wishes to drive". This aid to driving in free-flowing traffic enables the vehicle to maintain the speed programmed by the driver, unless a steep gradient makes this impossible.
52 Steering mounted controls Selecting the function - Turn the ring fully upwards. The cruise control is selected but is not yet active and no speed has been programmed. The indicator comes on in the instrument panel Temporarily exceeding the speed setting It is possible to accelerate and drive momentarily at a speed greater than the programmed speed. The value programmed flashes. When the accelerator pedal is released, the vehicle will return to the programmed speed.
Switching the system off - Changing the programmed speed There are two methods of memorising a speed higher than the previous one: Without using the accelerator: Move the switch up (+). A brief press increases the speed by 1 mph (km/h). A maintained press increases the speed in steps of 5 mph (km/h). Using the accelerator: exceed the memorised speed until the speed required is reached, move the switch up (+) or down (-). To memorise a speed lower than the previous one: move the switch down (-).
Steering mounted controls 54 This speed limiter shows the status of the system and the programmed speed in the instrument panel screen: System selected, display of the "Speed Limiter" indicator. System deactivated, last programmed speed - OFF (example at 65 mph (107 km/h)). System activated (example at 65 mph (107 km/h)). SPEED LIMITER "This is the selected speed which the driver does not wish to exceed". This selection is made with the engine running while stationary or with the vehicle moving.
55 Steering mounted controls Selecting the function Turn the ring fully downwards. The speed limiter is selected but is not yet active. The display indicates OFF and the last programmed speed. Programming a speed Activation/Deactivation A speed can be programmed without activating the limiter but with the engine running. To memorise a speed higher than the previous one: move the switch up (+). A brief press increases the speed by 1 mph (km/h).
56 Steering mounted controls Exceeding the programmed speed Switching the system off Operating fault Pressing the accelerator pedal in order to exceed the programmed speed will have no effect unless you press the pedal firmly beyond the point of resistance. If the limiter is unable to prevent an increase in the speed of the vehicle because of the profile of the road or when going down a step hill, the programmed speed may be exceeded.
57 Steering mounted controls If your vehicle is fitted with this function, the speed of your vehicle can be limited to a fixed speed of approximately 55 mph (90 km/h) or 60 mph (100 km/h). This maximum speed cannot be changed. A label in the passenger compartment indicates this maximum speed. The fixed speed limiter is not a function of the cruise control type. It cannot be activated or deactivated by the driver while driving.
58 Ventilation DEMISTING AND DEFROSTING Windscreen and side windows The ventilation outlets located at the base of the windscreen and the side vents for the side windows increase the effectiveness of the demisting and defrosting. Do not obstruct these air outlets. The pollen filter continuously and effectively filters dust. Air recirculation (which can be activated by the driver or the passenger) isolates the passenger compartment from the exterior atmosphere.
In order to be effective, the air conditioning should only be used with the windows closed. However, if the interior temperature remains high after a prolonged period parked in the sun, first ventilate the passenger compartment for a few minutes. For even air distribution, ensure that the exterior air intake grille located at the base of the windscreen, the side and central vents, the air outlets on the floor and the air extractor at the rear are not obstructed.
Ventilation 60 Air flow The force of the blown air, from the vents, varies from 1 to the strongest 4. Remember to adjust this control in order to reach the ambient air comfort level. To switch off the blower, place the control in position 0. Air distribution MANUAL HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING If your vehicle is fitted with these controls, they are located on the dashboard on the centre console control panel.
Intake of exterior air Recirculation of interior air This position should only be temporary. Used with the air conditioning switched on and setting of the force of blown air (from 1 to 4), recirculation enables you to obtain the required ambient air comfort level with both hot or cold settings. Recirculation temporarily prevents exterior odours and smoke from entering the passenger compartment.
Ventilation 62 sufficient recirculation of air in the passenger compartment. No further adjustments are required. AUTO mode with personalisation DIGITAL AIR CONDITIONING MONO-ZONE If your vehicle is fitted with this system, the controls are located in the middle of the dashboard. Control screen for your digital air conditioning system. When the engine is running and the air conditioning is on, this symbol and the message FULL AUTO are displayed.
Ventilation The settings range between: increasing the interior ambient air temperature HI (High) which goes up to to a maximum setting of 32, cooling the interior ambient air temperature LO (Low) which goes down to a setting of 16. Air distribution A press illuminates the LED on the buttons which distribute the air flow towards: the windscreen and front side window vents (demisting/ defrosting the windows), the central and side vents (chest and face), the vents in the front and rear areas (feet).
64 Ventilation ADDITIONAL HEATING SYSTEMS Additional heating This is passenger compartment heating, additional to the standard equipment. It can operate independently of the engine. Additional heater or programmable additional heating This is an additional, programmable and separate system which heats the Diesel engine hot coolant loop to make starting easier. It improves the demisting and defrosting performance and that of the heated seats, if fitted to the vehicle.
Activation/Deactivation This control, located on the control panel at the right-hand end of the dashboard, enables you to activate/deactivate the operation of the rear controls from the driver's seat. The first press activates (LED on). A second press deactivates (LED off). Air flow The force of the blown air, via the vents, varies from 1 to the strongest 4. To obtain a comfortable level of ambient air, remember to adjust this control. To deactivate the blower, place the control in position 0.

Ventilation Set the clock on the control panel before programming the deferred switching on of the heating. Press this button. The screen and the associated indicator lamp come on. Within ten seconds, press these two setting buttons until the correct time is displayed. Press ">" to increase the hours or "<" to decrease. Press and hold the button for more rapid scrolling of the digits. Reading the time Press this button. This indicator lamp comes on, the time is displayed for approximately ten seconds.
68 Ventilation Cancelling the programming Press this button briefly to clear the programmed start time. The screen illumination and the pre-selection number (e.g. 1) are switched off. Recalling one of the pre-selected start times Press this button as many times as necessary until the number corresponding to the required pre-selected start time (e.g. 2) appears. After ten seconds, the time is cleared but remains stored for as long as the number (e.g. 2) and the screen remain on.
DRIVER'S SEAT 69 Seats Head restraint Adjustable armrest Raise or, lower the armrest. Turn the wheel located under the end of the armrest to lock it in the desired position. EASE OF USE and COMFORT Press the tab to adjust the height of the head restraint. To remove the head restraint, press the tabs and raise the head restraint.
70 Seats Heated seat Lumbar support Seat cushion height adjustment Turn the control. Lift the handle 1 to raise or lower the front of the seat. Lift the handle 2 to raise or lower the rear of the seat. Use this control to switch the heating of the seat on or off. Seat with variable damping If your seat is fitted with this system, turn the control to adjust the level of damping to suit the driver's weight.
2-SEAT FRONT BENCH 71 Seats This is fitted with two seat belts. Grab handle Writing table The back of the centre seat folds to form a writing table. Pull the handle located at the top of the seat back cushion. EASE OF USE and COMFORT This is located above the centre passenger.
72 Seats REAR SEATS Seat back angle Turn the control to adjust the angle of the seat back. Access to the rear seats To gain access to row 3, manoeuvre the control on the outer seat of row 2 and tilt the seat back forwards. To return the seat back to its initial position, bring it to the vertical position without touching the control. Seat back folded position of the central seat (rows 2 and 3) The back of the central seat can be folded fully onto the cushion and used as a cup holder table.
73 Seats Turn the two levers upwards. Raise the bench seat and remove it. REAR BENCH SEATS Lower the head restraints then raise the control and tilt the seat back forwards. Seat back folded position Remove the head restraints then tilt the seat back as described above. With your right hand, raise the lever then tilt the seat back 5° towards the rear. With your left hand, tilt the seat back forwards onto the cushion. Removing the bench seat At least two people are required to remove the bench seat.
74 Seats CREW CAB Access to the box under the bench seat Consisting of an ergonomic 4-seat bench and a high-strength partition, it offers comfort and safety. Each seat of the bench is fitted with an inertia reel seat belt. From the cab Tilt the seat cushion forwards to gain access to the large box. Refer to the "Safety - Seat belts" section. From the load space Raise the two flaps which make the full length at the floor available.
CAB FITTINGS Central storage tray Front seat storage This may be lockable (according to specification). There is a storage drawer, located under the front seat (driver's). If your vehicle is fitted with a seat with variable vibration reduction, it does not have any storage compartments. The location under the passenger's seat is dedicated to storage of the tool box, containing the tools to be used when changing a wheel or bulb or when towing the vehicle...
76 Practical information Folding writing table This is located in the centre of the fascia panel. The clip can be used to secure documents, slips, ... Pull or push the top of the table to unfold or fold it. To insert or remove a CD, you must first fold the table. If your vehicle is fitted with a front passenger airbag, the table cannot be raised.
Cooled glove box Sun visor 12 volt socket This is located on the top left part of the dashboard. The air supplied into the glove box is the same as from the vents. To avoid glare from ahead, fold the sun visor down. Pockets are arranged in the sun visors for storing toll cards, tickets, ... Press and wait a few moments until the lighter pops out automatically. When used as a socket: 180 W max.
78 Practical information Cigarette lighter / Portable ashtray Overhead storage compartment Courtesy lamp After opening the ashtray, pull it upwards then empty it into a bin. This is located above the sun visors. Maximum load: approximately 20 kg. This is a double courtesy lamp located in the centre of the roof. It can be activated by means of: the switches located on the courtesy lamp, with the ignition on - RUNNING position, opening or closing one of the front doors, locking/unlocking the vehicle.
Reading lamps These are controlled by the switches. The driver's switch controls both reading lamps simultaneously. The passenger switch controls either the driver's reading lamp or the passenger reading lamp. Switches on the bottom right of the dashboard allow the driver to switch the passenger reading lamp on and off.
80 Practical information LOAD SPACE FITTINGS Lashing rings Lashing rings are provided on the floor to secure and make safe your loads: 8 for L1 and L2 length vehicles, 10 for L3 and L4 length vehicles. Two additional rings are located on the partition behind the cab. Maximum load: 500 kg. As a safety precaution in case of sharp braking, you are advised to place heavy objects as far forwards towards the cab as possible.
Practical information 81 Torch If provided in your vehicle. Roof box This is a storage compartment located in the load space, above the cab roof. Its capacity varies depending on the height of the van roof. Folding step Courtesy lamps If fitted on your vehicle, one or two courtesy lamps are located above the rear and side doors. They can be activated by: tilting the courtesy lamp (to the left or to the right), opening or closing the rear or side doors.
82 Mirrors and windows Electrical controls MIRRORS Rear view mirror Door mirrors The lever located on the lower edge moves the mirror into two positions. For the day position, the lever is pushed. For the night position to prevent dazzle, pull the lever towards you. These are divided into two zones: A - Upper mirror B - Lower mirror The mirror glass is spherical in order to widen the lateral field of vision. Objects seen in the mirror are in reality closer than they appear.
Manual operation Press or pull control switch A, without passing the point of resistance. The window stops when you release the control switch. 83 Mirrors and windows ELECTRIC WINDOWS You have two options: A. Driver's electric window B. Passenger's electric window Automatic operation Press or pull control switch A/B, beyond the point of resistance: the window opens or closes fully when the control is released. Pressing the control switch again stops the movement of the window.
84 Vehicle configuration PERSONALISATION - CONFIGURATION You have access to all the menus if your vehicle is fitted with an audio system. If your vehicle is fitted with a touch screen audio system, certain menus are only accessible using the audio system control panel. Using the MODE control panel This control panel located alongside the steering wheel provides access to menus for the personalisation of some of the vehicle systems. 89 Vehicle data The TRIP button, located at the end of the wiper control stalk, gives access to the following information: Range This indicates the distance that can still be travelled with the fuel remaining in the tank on the basis of the average consumption over the last few miles (kilometres) travelled. - - - Distance A This indicates the distance travelled since the last trip computer zero reset.
90 Vehicle data TACHOGRAPH If your vehicle is fitted with a tachograph, this permits storing of all of the data relating to the vehicle in the unit and on a card inserted in it. Example: at the beginning of each journey or change of team. When the card is inserted, all of the data can be: displayed on the tachograph screen, printed, transferred to external storage media via an interface. For further information, refer to the documents supplied by the manufacturer of the tachograph.
91 Parking sensors AUDIBLE REAR PARKING SENSORS Operation Engage reverse gear with the gear lever. The proximity information is indicated by an audible signal of increasing frequency as the vehicle approaches the obstacle. When the distance between the rear of the vehicle and the obstacle is less than approximately thirty centimetres, the audible signal becomes continuous. The system cannot, in any circumstances, take the place of the vigilance and responsibility of the driver.
Parking sensors 92 Switching off When a forward gear is engaged, the last image remains displayed for approximately 5 seconds then switches off. In the same way, the last image also remains displayed, with the vehicle stationary, when the rear doors are closed. Good practice REVERSING CAMERA If your vehicle is fitted with this camera, it is located at the rear, next to the third brake lamp. It sends views to the screen installed in the cab. This rear vision is an aid to manoeuvring.
PNEUMATIC SUSPENSION Manual adjustment of the loading height If your vehicle is fitted with pneumatic suspension, you can adjust the height of the rear of the vehicle to make loading and unloading easier. Raise: upwards adjustment of the load floor Make a quick press on the control to select the next level up. Each press (LED on) raises the floor by one level: +1 to +3. Lower: downwards adjustment of the load floor Make a quick press on the control to select the next level down.
94 Loading assistance Return to the nominal floor height Press the same number of times in reverse as the level of the position displayed. Deactivation Make a long press on both controls simultaneously to deactivate the system. The LEDs remain on. Reactivation A second long press on both controls simultaneously reactivates the system. The LEDs go off. Above 3 mph (5 km/h), the system reactivates automatically.
95 Driving safely Applying Pull the parking brake lever up to immobilise your vehicle. Check that the parking brake is applied firmly before leaving the vehicle. If the parking brake is still on or has not been released properly, this is indicated by this warning lamp which comes on on the instrument panel. When parking on a slope, direct your wheels towards the pavement and pull the parking brake lever up.
Driving safely 96 BRAKING ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS Group of supplementary systems which help you to obtain optimum braking in complete safety in emergency situations: anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBFD), emergency braking assistance (EBA). HORN Anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution Linked systems which improve the stability and manoeuvrability of your vehicle when braking, in particular on poor or slippery surfaces.
If this warning lamp comes on, together with the ABS warning lamp, accompanied by a message in the instrument panel screen, it indicates a fault with the electronic brake force distribution which could result in loss of control of the vehicle when braking. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so. In either case, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. For maximum braking efficiency, a bedding-in period of around 300 miles (500 kilometres) is needed.
Driving safely 98 Anti-slip regulation (ASR) Anti-slip regulation (also known as traction control) optimises traction, avoiding wheel spin by acting on the brakes of the driving wheels and the engine. Operation This system is activated automatically every time the vehicle is started. In the event of a problem of adhesion or trajectory, this system comes into play.
Driving safely Operating fault If this warning lamp comes on, accompanied by an audible signal and a message in the instrument panel screen, this indicates a fault with the ASR system. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. Good practice The DSC and ASR systems offer exceptional safety in normal driving, but this should not encourage the driver to take extra risks or drive at high speed.
100 Driving safely Switching on On starting the vehicle, this system is deactivated. Press this button, located in the middle of the dashboard, to activate the system; the indicator lamp in the button comes on. This system is active up to about 18 mph (30 km/h). Once the speed exceed 18 mph (30 km/h), the system is deactivated automatically, but the indicator lamp in the button stays on. The system is reactivated automatically as soon as the speed drops below 18 mph (30 km/h).
Detection If a change of direction is detected, you are alerted by a warning lamp in the instrument panel and an audible signal: System which detects the involuntary crossing of longitudinal traffic lane markings on the ground (continuous or discontinuous line). A camera, fitted at the top centre of the windscreen, monitors the road and triggers a warning if the vehicle drifts (speed higher than 35 mph (60 km/h)). This system operates to its full potential above all when used on motorways and main roads.
Seat belts 102 Driver's seat belt not fastened warning lamp When the vehicle is started, this warning lamp comes on if the driver has not fastened their seat belt. CREW CAB Each rear seat is fitted with a three-point inertia reel seat belt. Use the seat belt to restrain one person only per seat. CAB SEAT BELTS Fastening The front seats are fitted with pre-tensioners and force limiters. The bench rear seat is fitted with two seat belts.
The driver must ensure that passengers use the seat belts correctly and that they are all strapped in securely before moving off. Wherever you are seated in the vehicle, always fasten your seat belt, even for short journeys. The seat belts are fitted with an inertia reel which automatically adjusts the length of the strap to your size. Do not use accessories (clothes pegs, clips, safety pins, etc.) which allow the seat belt straps to fit loosely. Ensure that the seat belt has reeled in correctly after use.
104 Improved safety and security Impact resistance Anti-theft protection Your vehicle has been designed to limit the forces on the passenger compartment as much as possible in the event of a collision, the engine compartment adopts a progressive deformation structure and the front doors have been reinforced to contribute to the rigidity of the whole. Your vehicle, in the van version, comprises two zones with separate locking: the cab and the load space.
105 Airbags GENERAL POINTS ON AIRBAGS deployed; the seat belts alone contribute towards providing protection in these situations. Airbags only operate when the ignition is switched on. Deployment of the airbags is accompanied by a slight discharge of smoke and a noise, resulting from the activation of the pyrotechnic charge included in the system. This smoke is not harmful but may be an irritant to sensitive persons. The noise of the detonation may result in a slight loss of hearing for a short time.
Airbags 106 When OFF is selected, the passenger's front airbag will not be triggered in the event of an impact. As soon as the child seat is removed, select ON to re-activate the airbag and thus ensure the safety of your passenger in the event of an impact. Deactivating the passenger's front airbag The setting is made using the "MODE" button: in the "Passenger airbag" menu, select "OFF". Refer to the "Technology on board Vehicle configuration" section.
Good practice Front airbags Curtain airbags If your vehicle is fitted with front, lateral and curtain airbags, in order for these to be fully effective, observe the following safety rules: Do not drive holding the steering wheel by its spokes or resting your hands on the centre part of the wheel. Passengers must not place their feet on the dashboard. Smoke as little as possible; deployment of the airbags can cause burns or the risk of injury from a cigarette or pipe.
108 Child safety GENERAL POINTS ON CHILD SEATS Although one of CITROËN's main criteria when designing your vehicle, the safety of your children also depends on you.
Installation of a child seat at the rear DEACTIVATING THE PASSENGER'S FRONT AIRBAG "Rearward facing" When a "rearward facing" child seat is installed on a rear passenger seat, move the vehicle's front seat forwards and straighten the backrest so that the "rearward facing" child seat does not touch the vehicle's front seat. Never install a "rearward facing" child restraint system on a seat protected by an active front airbag. This could cause the death of the child or serious injury to them.

112 Child safety "ISOFIX" MOUNTINGS Your vehicle has been approved to the latest ISOFIX regulation. If fitted on your vehicle, the regulation ISOFIX mountings are located by labels. The mountings comprise three rings for each seat: two front rings, located between the vehicle seat back and cushion, indicated by a label, a rear ring, for securing the upper strap referred to as the TOP TETHER, indicated by another label.
LOCATIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ISOFIX CHILD SEATS In accordance with European regulations, this table indicates the options for the installation of ISOFIX child seats on the vehicle seats fitted with ISOFIX mountings. In the case of the universal and semi-universal ISOFIX child seats, the child seat's ISOFIX size category, determined by a letter from A to G, is indicated on the child seat next to the ISOFIX logo.
114 Child safety INSTALLING CHILD SEATS ATTACHED USING THE SEAT BELT In accordance with the European regulation, this table indicates the options for installing child seats secured using a seat belt and universally approved in accordance with the weight of the child and the seat in the vehicle.
The incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises the child's protection in the event of an accident. Check that there is no seat belt or seat belt buckle under the child seat, as this could destabilise the seat. Remember to fasten the seat belts or the child seat harnesses keeping the slack in relation to the child's body to a minimum, even for short journeys.
116 Transport solutions TOWING A TRAILER... The type-approved towable weights are entered in your vehicle's registration certificate, as well as on the manufacturer's VIN plate. Refer to the "Technical data - Vehicle identification" section. These weights are also given in sales brochures. For the maximum unbraked trailer weight and the recommended nose weight, refer to the "Technical data Weights" section. You will then have information on your vehicle's ability to tow a trailer, a caravan, a boat...
Good practice A towed vehicle must free wheel: gearbox in neutral. In certain cases of particularly arduous use (towing the maximum load up a steep slope in high temperatures), the engine automatically limits its power. In this case, the automatic cutting off of the air conditioning allows the engine power to be recovered.
118 Transport solutions TOWBAR WITH QUICKLY DETACHABLE TOW BALL The carrying system must always be secured to the fitting points provided on the vehicle's roof: 6, 8 or 10, depending on the wheelbase of the vehicle. Observe the instructions for fitting and use provided with the carrying system. This tow ball can be fitted and removed quickly and easily without the use of tools. When not towing a trailer, remove the quickly-detachable tow ball before driving.
To prevent the mat from becoming caught under the pedals: ensure that the mat and its fixings are positioned correctly, never fit one mat on top of another. 120 Equipment SNOW CHAINS In wintry conditions, snow chains improve traction as well as the behaviour of the vehicle when braking. The snow chains must be fitted only to the driving wheels. They must never be fitted to "space-saver" type spare wheels. Take account of the legislation in force in your country on the use of snow chains and the maximum running speed authorised. Use only the chains designed to be fitted to the type of wheel fitted to your vehicle: Original tyre size Maximum link size.

122 Under the bonnet OPENING THE BONNET On the inside This operation must only be carried out with the vehicle stationary and the driver's door open. Pull the release lever on the side of the dashboard towards you. Because of the presence of electrical equipment under the bonnet, it is recommended that exposure to water (rain, washing, ...) be limited. Before doing anything under the bonnet, switch off the ignition with the key to avoid any risk of injury resulting from an automatic change to START mode.

124 Levels and checks LEVELS These regular maintenance operations will keep your vehicle in good running order. Dipstick There are two marks on the dipstick: A = maximum If you fill past this mark, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. If you have to remove/refit the engine styling cover, handle it with care to avoid damaging the fixing clips.
Levels and checks Only use the fluid recommended by the manufacturer. Otherwise, you risk seriously damaging your engine. When the engine is warm, the temperature of the coolant is controlled by the engine fan. As this fan can operate with the ignition key removed and because the cooling system is pressurised, wait for at least one hour after the engine has stopped before carrying out any work. Slacken the cap by 1/4 of a turn to release the pressure to prevent any risk of scalding.
126 Levels and checks CHECKS These operations will keep your vehicle in good running order. Ask for advice from a CITROËN dealer or refer to the maintenance and warranty guide included in the handbook pack. Battery At the start of winter, have your battery checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. The presence of this label, in particular with the Stop & Start system, indicates the use of a specific 12 V lead-acid battery with special technology and specification.
Oil filter Brake disc/drum wear status Good practice Change the filter regularly, in accordance with the manufacturer's servicing schedule. For any information relating to checking the brake disc/drum wear status, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. Brake pads Parking brake Brake pad wear depends on the style of driving, in particular for vehicles which are used in town, over short distances. It may be necessary to check the thickness of the pads, even between services.
128 Levels and checks Particle filter system (Diesel) An addition to the catalytic converter, this filter makes an active contribution to the preservation of air quality by the retaining of the unburnt pollutant particles. Black exhaust fumes are thus no longer emitted. Operation This filter, fitted to the exhaust system, accumulates particles of soot. The engine management unit controls the automatic periodic elimination of the soot particles (regeneration).
Low fuel level When the fuel tank level E (Empty) is reached, this warning lamp comes on. At this moment, you have around 10 to 12 litres in the reserve, depending on the capacity of the tank, the engine type, the driving conditions and the profile of the road. Refuel without delay to avoid running out of fuel. The capacity of the fuel tank is approximately 90 litres. Fuel tanks of different capacities, 60 and 125 litres, may be fitted. REFUELLING The fuel tank must be filled with the engine off.
130 Fuel FUEL SYSTEM CUT-OFF To restore the fuel supply, press the first button, located below the steering wheel. In the event of a collision, a device automatically cuts off the fuel supply from the engine and cuts off the vehicle's electrical supply. It triggers operation of the hazard warning lamps and courtesy lamps, and unlocking of the doors. After the collision and before restore these supplies, check that there is no fuel leak or sparks, to avoid the risk of fire.
131 Discharged battery Starting from another battery A. Positive metal point on your vehicle B. Slave battery C. Earth on your vehicle - - - - Connect the red cable to the metal point A then to the positive (+) terminal of the slave battery B. Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative (-) terminal of the slave battery B. Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the earth point C on your vehicle. Operate the starter, let the engine run.
132 Discharged battery The charging operation must be carried out in a ventilated area away from naked flames or any possible sources of sparks to eliminate the risk of explosion and fire. Do not attempt to charge a frozen battery: it must first be thawed to eliminate the risks of explosion.

138 Failed bulb or lamp CHANGING A BULB Types of bulb and lamp Various types of bulb and lamp are used on your vehicle. To remove them: Type A Entirely glass bulb: pull gently as it is fitted by pressure. Type B Bayonet bulb: press on the bulb then turn it anticlockwise. Type C Cylindrical bulb: move aside the contacts. Type D - E Halogen bulb: release the retaining spring from its housing. Always replace a failed bulb or lamp with a new bulb or lamp of the same type and specification.
Front lamps Open the bonnet. To access the bulbs, reach behind the headlamp unit. If necessary you can remove the headlamp: Disconnect the electrical connector by removing its locking ring. Remove the two headlamp fixing screws. Move the headlamp towards the centre of the vehicle to extract it from its sliders. On the left hand side, take care not to dislodge the bonnet stay. 1 - Main beam headlamps Type D, H7 - 55 W Remove the cover by pulling on the rubber tongue. Disconnect the electrical connector.
Failed bulb or lamp 140 Halogen bulbs must be changed after the headlamp has been off for several minutes (risk of serious burns). Do not touch the bulb directly with your fingers, use lintfree cloths. When each operation has been completed, check the operation of the lamps. 4 - Sidelamps / daytime running lamps Type A, W21/5W - 21W and 5W Remove the cover by pulling on the rubber tongue. 144 Worn wiper blade CHANGING A WIPER BLADE The steps, located in the front bumper, enable you to access the blades and the screenwash nozzles. Changing a front wiper blade Changing the rear wiper blade Lift the wiper arm. Unclip the blade by pressing the button and remove it by pulling it outwards. Fit the new blade and ensure that it is secured correctly. Push back the wiper arm. Lift the wiper arm, then unclip the blade and remove it. Fit the new blade and push back the wiper arm.
Tools These are located in a box under the front passenger seat cushion. Turn the button a quarter of a turn then pull the box. Parking the vehicle You must ensure that the occupants get out of the vehicle and wait in a safe location. If possible, place a chock under the wheel diagonally opposite the wheel to be changed.
146 Puncture Spare wheel The spare wheel retaining bolt is located below the bumper on the right. Turn the bolt using the long socket A and the ratchet wrench B to release the wheel. Turn to the locking point, indicated by an increase in the force required for the manoeuvre. - Take out the spare wheel using the wrench. Unscrew the handle G and remove the support H. Release the spare wheel and place it near the wheel to be changed.
- - Hook the support H and screw in the handle G. Insert the long socket A in the hole then wind the bolt fully, using the ratchet wrench B, to raise the wheel. Stow the tools and the trim. 147 Puncture Refitting the repaired wheel Refitting the repaired wheel is the same as fitting the spare wheel; don't forget to refit the wheel trim. If you have a retractable foot board, the jack must be positioned at 45°.
148 Puncture PUNCTURE REPAIR KIT Repairing the tyre This temporary puncture repair kit is located at the front of the passenger compartment. It consists of: a cartridge A, containing the sealant fluid, equipped with: ● a filling hose B, ● a sticker C indicating "max. 80 km/h", which the driver must affix in full view (on the dashboard) after repairing the tyre, a quick guide to use of the repair kit, a compressor D equipped with a pressure gauge and unions, adaptors, for the inflation of various items.
Puncture Checking and adjusting the pressure The compressor can only be used to check and adjust the pressure. Disconnect the hose I and connect it to the tyre valve directly; the cartridge will then be connected to the compressor and the filling fluid will not be injected. If it is necessary to deflate the tyre, connect the hose I to the tyre valve and press the yellow button, placed in the centre of the switch on the compressor.

TOUCH SCREEN AUDIO-TELEMATIC system MULTIMEDIA AUDIO SYSTEM - BLUETOOTH TELEPHONE - GPS NAVIGATION CONTENTS The system is protected in such a way that it will only operate in your vehicle. For safety reasons, the driver must carry out operations which require prolonged attention while the vehicle is stationary. When the engine is switched off and to prevent discharging of the battery, the system switches off following the activation of the energy economy mode. 01 General operation p. 10.

In the event of prolonged exposure to sunlight and very hot conditions, the volume may be limited to protect the system, it may go into stand-by (screen and sound completely off). With audio files .aac, .m4a, .m4b, .mp4 extensions, the sampling rates supported are 8 - 96 KHz. It also supports .m3u and .wpl mode. The system does not support two identical devices connected at the same time (two memory sticks, two Apple® players) but it is possible to connect one memory stick and one Apple® player at the same time.
05 MEDIA Audio streaming Connecting APPLE® players Streaming allows audio files on your telephone to be played via the vehicle's speakers. Switch on Bluetooth on the device. Press "Media". If there is an active media source, press the "Source" button. Select the "Bluetooth" media source then press the "Add device" button. Search for the name of the peripheral device and when requested by the audio system, enter the PIN number displayed in the screen of the system or confirm in the device the PIN displayed.

AUDIO SYSTEM MULTIMEDIA AUDIO SYSTEM BLUETOOTH TELEPHONE The system is coded in such a way that it will only operate in your vehicle. For safety reasons, the driver must only carry out operations which require prolonged attention while the vehicle is stationary. When the engine is not running and to prevent discharging of the battery, the audio system may switch off following activation of energy economy mode. 01 FIRST STEPS Select FM and AM wavebands. Information on the current radio station or media. Select USB or AUX source. Select preset stations: FM-A, FM-B, FM-C, AM-A, AM-B, AM-C. List of connected telephones. Display the menu and settings for options. Random (shuffle) play Repeat play. Rotate: scroll through a list or adjustment of radio station. Press: confirm the option displayed in the screen. On/off, volume setting. Radio buttons 1 to 6: Select a pre-set radio station.
02 STEERING MOUNTED CONTROLS Pause / restore the CD, USB/iPod, Bluetooth® sources. Mute / restore sound from the radio. Switch the microphone off / on during a telephone call. Rotate: adjust the volume for audio, handsfree, speaking texts, voice announcements and music sources. Short press: increase / decrease volume one step. Long press: increase / decrease volume progressively until released. Switch voice recognition on. Interrupt a voice message to start a new voice command.
03 RADIO Selecting a station Presetting a station The surroundings (hills, buildings, tunnel, parking, under ground...) may prevent reception, including RDS alternative frequencies. This phenomenon is normal in the propagation of radio waves and does not in any way imply a fault with the audio system. Press the "RADIO" button to select the FM or AM waveband. Briefly press one of the buttons to carry out an automatic search down/up for radio stations.
03 RADIO RDS RDS, if displayed, makes it possible to continue listening to the same radio station using the alternative frequencies function. However, in certain conditions it may not be possible to stay with the same station as not all radio stations cover the entire country. When reception is poor the system switches to a regional frequency. Press the MENU button. Select "Regional" then press to switch RDS on or off.
04 MEDIA 10.56 USB player Using the auxiliary input (AUX) (audio cable not supplied) Insert the USB memory stick in the USB player or connect the USB peripheral to the USB port using a suitable cable (not supplied). Connect the portable device (MP3 player…) to the auxiliary JACK socket using an audio cable. The system builds playlists (in temporary memory), an operation which can take from a few seconds to several minutes at the first connection.
04 MEDIA MP3 / USB player Connecting APPLE® players Information and advice The system supports USB mass storage devices, BlackBerry® devices or Apple® players via USB ports. The adaptor cable not supplied. Other peripherals, not recognised on connection, must be connected to the auxiliary socket using a Jack cable (not supplied). Connect the Apple® player to the USB port using a suitable cable (not supplied). Play starts automatically. In order to be read, a USB memory stick must be formatted FAT 32.
05 TELEPHONE Pairing a Bluetooth telephone First connection For reasons of safety and because they require prolonged attention on the part of the driver, the operations for pairing the Bluetooth mobile telephone to the hands-free system of the audio system must be carried out with the vehicle stationary. Switch on the Bluetooth function of your telephone and ensure that it is "visible to all" (telephone configuration). When pairing, a screen page is displayed showing progress in the operation.
05 TELEPHONE Receiving a call An incoming call is announced by a ring and a superimposed display in the screen. Making a call Select "Call log" for access to the recent calls made. Press this button to accept the incoming call. Select "Contacts" to display your contacts and use the dial to scroll through the list. Or press this button to reject the call. To dial a number, use the system's "Keypad". Ending a call To reject a call, press this button at the steering mounted controls. 10.
06 SETTINGS System settings Audio Press the "MENU" button. Press the "MENU" button. Select "System settings" then press to display the list of settings for activating or deactivating options: "Reset default value" "20 min.

Repeat Repeats to the user the last voice message spoken.
07 VOICE COMMANDS "Telephone" voice commands If a telephone is connected to the system, these voice commands can be issued from any main screen page after pressing the telephone button on the steering wheel, as long as there is no telephone call in progress. If there is no telephone connected, a voice message announces: "No telephone connected. Connect a telephone and try again" and the voice session will be closed.
07 VOICE COMMANDS "Telephone" voice commands It is possible to replace the "Mobile phone" label by one of the three other labels available: "Home"; "Work"; "Other".
