SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
RELEVANT ROUTES OF EXPOSURE Inhalation, Skin Contact, Eye Contact, Ingestion
INHALATION FIRST AID IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position
comfortable for breathing (P304+P340).
Call a POISON CENTER/doctor/physician if you feel unwell (P312).
SKIN CONTACT FIRST AID If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention (P332+P313).
EYE CONTACT FIRST AID IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove
contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing
(P305+P351+P338).
If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention (P337+P313).
INGESTION FIRST AID Call a POISON CENTER/doctor/physician if you feel unwell (P312).
SECTION 5: FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA This is a nonflammable solid product. In case of fire, use carbon dioxide,
foam, or water. Use media suitable for the surrounding area.
SPECIFIC HAZARDS The products of combustion for this product are borane/boron oxides and
sodium oxides.
PROTECTIVE MEASURES IN FIRE Dust may be irritating to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Firefighters
should wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full firefighting
turnout gear.
SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS Put on appropriate protective equipment as noted in Section 8 of this
Safety Data Sheet. Product is slippery when spilled.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES Deny entry to unnecessary personnel.
CONTAINMENT AND CLEAN-UP MEASURES Consumer spills: Wipe up or sweep up spill. Dispose of in accordance
with local, state, and federal regulations. Do not let product enter drains.
Discharging this material into the environment must be avoided.
Industrial spills: Sweep or mop up spill as needed. Dispose of in
accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Do not let product

SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE
USAGE PRECAUTIONS Avoid contact with eyes.
Use in a well-ventilated area.
Do not directly inhale dust from this product.
Incompatible with metal hydrides or alkali metals. Reactions with such
materials will generate hydrogen gas, which could create an explosion
hazard.
Wash hands after using this product.
STORAGE PRECAUTIONS Store in a well-ventilated place.
Keep away from food, drink, and animal feed.
