Step 5: Walls are Out of Plumb and Glass Needs Cut Out of Square


Despite our superior hardware, tolerances exist, and we aim for the door's longevity
beyond the warranty.
5.Walls Plumb Check:
Use a 6 ft Level against the walls (Figure 1 or Figure 2).
Place the level's butt where the wall and threshold meet.
Measure the distance between the top edge of the level and the wall (Figure 1) OR the
bottom edge (Figure 2).
6.Threshold Level Check:
Use the longest level that fits and place it on the threshold.
If out of level, measure the distance between the bottom of the level and the thresh-
old.
If more than 3/16" out of level, there may be issues at the door.
