The battery in the handset must be fully
charged for 12 hours before using the
telephone for the first time.
Instructions
1. Remove battery cover
2. Install new battery
3. Connect battery pack
4. Replace battery cover
5. Charge for 12 hours before first use

4. Plug the adapter into a standard 120
AC power (electrical) outlet.
5. Lift the base’s antenna to a vertical
position.
6. Set the TONE/PULSE switch located
on the back of the base to correct dial
ing mode. Please check with your
local Phone Company if uncertain of
the type of service.
7. Place handset in the cradle to begin
initial charging.
Remember, you must charge the phone for at
least 12 hours before you use the phone for
the first time.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
The Clarity 435 uses a 3.6Volt 700mAhr
NiCd Rechargeable 3 cell (AA Type) battery
that is included with your unit.
HANDSET BATTERY MUST BE CONNNECT-
ED BEFORE BEING INITIAL CHARGING.
1. Plug one end of the supplied modular
telephone line cord into the jack
marked TEL located on the back of the
telephone base.
2. Remove battery compartment cover
and connect battery pack plug into the
battery connector (Diagram A).
