The correct end to hold should already be plugged into the back of your telephone base unit. Simultaneously pull the other end of the adapter cord away from the phone, unraveling it and allowing you to plug that end of the cord into a wall electrical outlet. 3. XLC3.5HS/B TROUBLESHOOTING The unit will not operate/no dial tone: E • Verify the AC Adapter is securely plugged into AC outlet, the base and the telephone. N • Make sure the battery has been placed in the battery compartment correctly. (The circular metal contacts on battery need to touch the metal springs inside battery compartment.) L • Make sure the handset battery is fully charged. • Verify the telephone is in the correct dialing mode: tone (touch) or pulse (rotary).
XLC3.5HS/B TROUBLESHOOTING Difficulty in placing or receiving calls: • Move closer to the base and try again. • Make sure you have selected the correct dialing mode, tone or pulse. • Make sure the handset battery is fully charged.
