your clothes and in your closet or hamper will eliminate the
odor. To get rid of the mildew, you need to use an anti-
bacterial cleaner.
Red Wine
Someone tipped their glass of red wine on the carpet? Use
the Wine Remover product and it will look as good as new.
Carpet
Have You Used Another Product Before CLEAN+GREEN
on your Carpet?
If the stain and odor has been treated unsuccessfully with
other products, the stain and odor are probably no longer
organic and you will need to eliminate the chemicals left
behind. To eliminate the remaining chemicals, we
recommend that you wet a clean cloth with water and
moisten the area. Because the stain and odor has probably
been changed, you will need to spray more Clean+Green on
the affected spot than you would normally be required to
use.
Note: In some cases, the stain will set due to the chemicals
from previous products and may not come out. However,
Clean+Green will still eliminate the odor.
Old & persistent odors: On carpet, there are three scenarios:
(1) the odor source has saturated the carpet but not the pad,
(2) the odor source has saturated the carpet and the carpet
pad, and (3) the odor source has saturated the carpet, carpet
pad and sub floor.
Remember, CLEAN+GREEN needs to come in contact
with the odor source to work. Once it has made contact, it
will encapsulate the odor source and eliminate the odor.
HINT: When urine is deposited on carpet, it will spread in a
wider area underneath. Think of a pyramid; the tip is the
surface of the carpet and the base is underneath. So you will
have to spray a wider area than just where the urine was
deposited.
(1) Use the Carpet product and spray directly on the
affected area of the carpet for 3 to 5 seconds, so that the
carpet is wet to the touch (but not soaked). Allow area to
dry, and check to see if odor is completely gone. If odor is
not completely gone, the spray did not have come in contact
with the entire odor source. Reapply the spray to the area
that still has an odor, following the directions above.
(2) If there is still an odor present after the second
application, it may be that the odor source has saturated the
carpet and carpet pad. To get to the odor source, you will
need to pull up the carpet and spray CLEAN+GREEN
directly on the carpet pad. Also, check the back of the
carpet for odor, and if present, spray the back of the carpet.
Allow it to dry and check to see if odor is completely gone.
If some odor remains apply second application following
directions above.
(3) In some cases when odor is severe, the odor source has
affected the carpet pad and reached subsurface floor. When
carpet pad is severely affected (saturated), we recommend
cutting out the affected part of the pad and replacing the
carpet padding. Spray the affected subsurface with the
Concrete product (for porous surfaces) or the Hardwood +
Tile product (for wood floors), and allow to dry. If odor is
present after drying, apply second application, following
directions above. Check for odor after the second
application, and if odor is present apply the product again. It
is not uncommon for many applications when the odor
source has soaked into the concrete.
Note: Concrete is porous, and soaks up liquid. You may
need several applications. As CLEAN+GREEN eliminates
the problem source on the top layer of the floor, the problem
source soaked into the deeper layers will rise. Each
application gets rid of the old problem source until it is
completely gone.
Hard Floors and Walls
Cleaning an accident on your natural or laminate wood floor
or natural or cultured marble and worried about hurting the
floor or floor laminate?
Use Clean+Green Hardwood+Tile and stop worrying. Pick
up any excess material and/or wipe up any excess liquids
remaining. Lightly spray the affected area (no need to soak
or saturate - in fact make sure you don't since too much
liquid will hurt the wood) and let dry. The floor will be
slick either make sure no one walks on the area or wipe dry
with a clean cloth.
Concrete and Tile Grout
Urine can sometimes get into the floor surface and tile grout,
especially if you have granite or concrete floors. Just wiping
the floor does not get rid of the urine odor because it can
penetrate into the porous surface.
Concrete can eliminate the stain and odor source in your
floor. If your floor has had a problem for a while or is
unsealed concrete, there may be a lot deposited in the
concrete. We recommend that after spraying the area, use a
scrub brush or push broom and work the Clean+Green into
the concrete. You may need repeat this process several
times. After each time, the stain will lighten and the odor
reduced.
As CLEAN+GREEN eliminates the problem source on the
top layer of the floor, the urine soaked into the deeper layers
will rise. Each application gets rid of the old urine until it is
completely gone.
Diaper Pails and Diaper Bags Odors
A smelly diaper pail or bag can be a very difficult problem
because plastic will typically absorb smells.
