The first three characters of a module’s serial number, shown on the back apron and
visible when the module is installed in its bay, are the same as the module’s
abbreviation. For example, the serial number
XCM12345 identifies a 8 x 8 Connect
Module.
To remove a Connect, Management, or Network module, press down on its green
lever (or levers) until the module is released, and pull the module out of its bay.
Figure 20 shows the back apron of the R4300, with the three module bays designated.
