DigiLinX Dealer Setup Version 2.35.00 Hosting Streams The maximum number of streams a media server can support is dependent on two things: the number of streams the server supports and the total number of MediaLinX’ and SpeakerLinX’ on the DigiLinX network. All streams must be hosted by a MediaLinX or SpeakerLinX, so for each stream there must be a MedialinX or SpeakerLinX. If the local Audio Port is set to streaming, this requires the SpeakerLinX to host that stream.

DigiLinX and IP Addresses Chapter 9 DigiLinX and IP Addresses Introduction DigiLinX is designed to function as a standalone IP-Based Multi-Room Audio, Video and Control system that can easily be configured to integrate with the home network. Integrating with the home network allows DigiLinX to be controlled by computers and PDAs, and to provide a conduit for media servers to access the Internet to download metadata.
DigiLinX Dealer Setup Version 2.35.00 address to the device that is not in the range of the home network or DigiLinX. Use addresses from 192.168.0.2 through 192.168.0.50 and set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0. NOTE: If the media server requires access to the Internet, you may need to set the Gateway and DNS address on the physical digital media server. You can retrieve this information from a home PC. From a PC, select Start>Run. A run popup window displays. Type CMD in the Open field.
DigiLinX and IP Addresses Figure 9-1 Show Advanced Option button The Advanced Option screen displays (see Figure 9-2). From this screen, you will be able to specify what range of IP addresses that DigiLinX devices will use. Like the home network, DigiLinX needs to use the same address scheme, but it needs to be restricted to a specific range of these addresses to prevent an IP address conflict. 9-3 All specifications subject to change without notification. Procedure Turn your PDA on. 2.
Favorites Chapter 11 Favorites Favorites allow you to assign common tasks and settings to buttons on the graphical user interface (GUI) such as a TouchLinX or web browser. Before you can create a Favorites button, you must create macros. DigiLinX supports an unlimited number of macros. Each macro can have approximately 20 steps. Once you have created the macros for your system, you must create and name a button on the Favorites screen for the consumer to access the macros.

KeyLinX Chapter 12 KeyLinX Introduction The KeyLinX is a lower-cost user interface for rooms that do not need all the programming features that a TouchLinX or web browser might provide. KeyLinX provides a way of controlling the audio in a room by use of a ten-button keypad (see Figure 12-1). The rear panel of the KeyLinX has a connection for both an EIM splitter and an IRLinX (on page 12-2). An IRLinX allows DigiLinX to receive IR commands in rooms that do not have an IR receiver.
