To integrate a PAN6400 VDC with DigiLinX in mirrored mode, complete the
following steps:
1. Ensure power is off to all devices.
2. Connect a component video cable from the component video out ports of the
source to the PAN6400 VDC (2) IN ports for that source.
3. Connect the coaxial digital (S/PDIF) audio cable from the source to the PAN6400
VDC (1) IN port (green) for that source.
4. Connect the analog audio cable from the video source to a MediaLinX.
5. Connect an IR Emitter to the PAN6400 VDC (2) IR OUTPUT port for the source
and place the emitter end over the IR window on the front of the source.
6. Connect an IR extension cable (3.5 mm to 3.5 mm, shipped with Panorama) from
the PAN6400 VDC (2) IR INPUT for the source to the PAN6400 VDC (1) IR
OUTPUT for the source.
7. Connect an IR extension cable (3.5 mm to 3.5 mm, shipped with Panorama) from
the PAN6400 VDC (2) C (Common) IR INPUT to the PAN6400 VDC (1) C
(Common) IR OUTPUT.
8. Connect an IR extension cable (3.5 mm to 3.5 mm, shipped with Panorama) from
the PAN6400 VDC (1) IR INPUT port for that source to the MediaLinX IR/RS-232
port.
9. Connect the 3.5 mm to RS-232 cable (included with ControLinX) from the
IR/RS-232 port of the ControLinX to a null modem cable and connect it to the
RS-232 IO2 port on the rear panel of PAN6400 VDC (2).
This allows a DigiLinX system to control Panorama functions.
10. Connect a null modem cable from the RS-232 IO1 port of the PAN6400 VDC (2)
to the RS-232 IO2 port of the PAN6400 VDC (1).
This allows the two PAN6400 VDCs to mirror each other.
11. Connect a CAT5 cable from the DISPLAY OUTPUT port for that source on the
PAN6400 VDC (2) to the VIM port of a VP700.
This procedure assumes you are using VP700s for IR pass-through functionality.
12. Connect the VP700 attached to PAN6400 VDC (2) to the display using a
component cable.
You can also route the video from the VP700 to the A/V Receiver and then to the
display.
13. Connect the IR Receiver to the IR IN port on the VP700 and place the IR Receiver
where it can receive a signal from the remote. See Panorama Video Ports:
PANVP500 and PANVP700 on page 3-4 for information on effective IR Receiver
placement.
14. Connect an IR Emitter to the IR Out port of the VP700 attached to PAN6400
VDC (2) and place the emitter end over the IR window on the display.
15. Connect a CAT5 cable from the DISPLAY OUTPUT for that source on the
PAN6400 VDC (1) to the VIM port of a VP500.
16. Connect a coaxial digital (S/PDIF) cable from the Y/Composite port of the VP500
attached to the PAN6400 VDC (1) to the Digital Audio In of the A/V Receiver.
