Change the number of rings before pickup
By default, your answering machine picks up calls
after the sixth ring.
You can set it to pick up after two, four, six or eight
rings. If you would like the machine to generally
pick up after six rings but after two if new messages
are waiting, select Toll Saver.
If you use the answering machine together with
voicemail and call waiting service, you must set the
number of rings before pickup to be less than the
number of rings before pickup for voicemail service.
Voicemail pickup is determined by your service
provider. For more information, see page 132.
To change the number of rings before pickup
1. Press beneath Menuon the
screen.
2. Press and scroll to TAM
setup, and then press
beneath Select.
3. Press and scroll to Ring
number, and then press
beneath Select.
4. Press and scroll to your
choice, and then press
beneath Select.
5. Press beneath Back, until
you arrive at the home screen.
