Connect one end of the telephone cord to the LINE jack on the back of the ANS3000 and connect the other end to a modular phone jack. 2. █ OPTIONAL BATTERY The ANS3000 utilizes non-volatile flash memory to store data such as the language selection, ringer number, playback speed, outgoing messages and recorded messages. This data will not be lost if the ANS3000 loses power. However, the Day setting is not stored and will need to be reset when power is restored.

█ Time Setting If you subscribe to Caller ID service with your telephone service provider, the correct time is automatically set when you receive a call. You can also set the time manually. To Manually Set the Hour: 1. Press and hold the Hour key until a tone occurs. 2. Press the VOL+ or VOL- key until the correct time appears on the LED. 3. Press the Hour key to confirm the setting. To Manually Set the Minutes: 1. Press and hold the Minute key until a tone occurs. 2.
3. When the desired number of rings is displayed, press and hold the Ringer key and you will hear a confirmation beep. █ Outgoing Message (OGM) You can record 2 different outgoing messages (OGM). For example, you can record one message for business hours and another for non-business hours. Each OGM can be up to 3 minutes. The answering machine comes with a pre-recorded message for each OGM: the default message is “Hello, your call cannot be taken at the moment.
█ Managing Messages When you have new messages, these messages will always playback before saved messages. Once you have listened to any new messages, they become saved messages unless you delete them during playback. To Play New/Saved Messages: Press the Play/Stop key to play messages. Press the Repeat key once to replay the current message. Press it twice to play the previous message or press the Skip key to play the next one. To Delete Messages: 1.
█ Volume Control When playing the OGM or messages, press the Vol+ or Volkey to increase or decrease the voice volume. The LED will show the corresponding volume level (8 levels). █ Speed Control There are 3 levels of message playback speed and you can adjust the playback speed to your needs. To set the speed: 1. Press and hold the Speed key until the current setting is displayed. 2. Press the Speed key repeatedly to adjust the speed.
