Safety precautions
Carefully read and observe the warnings and
cautions in this manual and on the equipment.
Warnings
Warnings must be observed to prevent bodily
injury.
 WARNING: Use the phone only in the
described manner to avoid bodily injury or
damage to the equipment.
 WARNING: Use this phone only with the
supplied AC power adapter assembly. Other
types of power adapter assemblies can
damage the phone and cause personal injury.
 WARNING: Locate and use the phone away
from water and damp areas, such as swimming
pools, bathtubs, sinks and damp basements,
and do not use the phone when you are
wet, to avoid electrical shock. If the phone is
submerged, unplug the phone base from AC
power and from the wall phone jack before
you retrieve the phone. Allow the phone to dry
completely before plugging it back in to AC
power.
 WARNING: Do not overload extension cords or
power strips. This can result in electric shock.
 WARNING: Avoid using the phone during
an electrical storm. There is a slight risk of
electrical shock from lightning during a storm.
