3. Getting Started
Read this section of the manual to learn how to set up your Control Panel.
3.1. Selecting Mounting Location
The Control Panel is designed to be wall mounted and protected against unauthorized case
opening or removal from its mounting surface, follow guidelines below when planning installation
location:
The Control Panel requires the mains power and Ethernet connection.
If a Cellular Module is used, ensure that there is good cellular coverage (Advisable to have
a level of at least 4 out of 5).
The Control Panel needs to have access to the routing of cables for the system to connect
with wired devices.
A central location between all the devices is often the best place, making wiring to
expanders or devices easier, and preferably a place that is hidden from outside view.
Avoid mounting the Control Panel in a damp location, close to a heat source, or near large
metal objects, which may affect wireless radio strength.
The Control Panel should be protected by sensors so that no intruder can reach the Control
Panel without first activating a sensor.
