II Health Hazard Data III Hazardous Ingredients
Direct contact with eyes may cause irreversible damage. Harmful if
swallowed. Direct contact with mucous membranes may cause severe
irritation or irreversible damage. Severe skin irritant. Prolonged contact with
skin may cause irreversible damage. Animal ingestion studies in several
species, at high doses, indicate that borates cause reproductive and
developmental effects. A human study of occupational exposure to borate
dust showed no adverse effect on reproduction.
No medical conditions are known to be aggravated by exposure to this
product.
FIRST AID
:
EYE CONTACT
: Flush eyes immediately with water for at least 15 minutes;
then call a physician.
INGESTION
: Rinse mouth, and drink a glassful of water. Do not induce
vomiting. Call a physician.
SKIN CONTACT
: Wash skin immediately with water for 15 minutes; then call
a physician.
INHALATION
: Remove to fresh air. If irritation or breathing problems persist,
call a physician.

Spill Procedures
: Wear appropriate protective gear and respiratory
protection. Sweep up material and place in a compatible container for
disposal. Since material is toxic to fish, do not discharge into lakes, streams,
ponds or public water unless in accordance with NPDES permit.
Waste Disposal
: Dispose of in accordance with all applicable federal, state,
and local regulations.
Reacts with other household chemicals such as acid toilet bowl cleaners, rust
removers, acids, vinegar, and ammonia-containing products to produce
hazardous gases, such as chlorine/bromine and other chlorinated/brominated
compounds. Avoid contact with strong alkalis.
Material is an oxidizer. Avoid contact with readily-oxidizable materials.
Stable under normal use and storage conditions.
