This is an installation guide for BDx-Series user. This guide gives you BDx-Series’s external specification, name, PAN/TILT control, the way of attaching peripheral devices and configuration of system program.

The OS will automatically start to search for PCI Multimedia Video Device. Select “Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)”, and click “Next>”.

If the correct driver is found, the dialog will display “4(16)ch Video Capture Device”. If you see this message, click “Next>”. Click “Finish”. Windows 98 will automatically detect the new hardware devices. Install the other “4(16)ch Video Slave Capture Device” drivers in the same way as described above.

However, if the program is running, exit the system by selecting “Exit Program”. Select “Start" → "Settings" → "Control Panel”. Select the “Add or Remove Programs”.

DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Server) If you are using DYNAMIC addressing from your ISP (Internet Service Provider), you will need to register with our DDNS service. You do not need to register with our DDNS service if you were supplied a STATIC IP address from your ISP. Please check with your ISP if you are unsure of how your IP address is configured. 4.1 DDNS settings on your DVR The DDNS settings must also be set on your DVR to use the DDNS service.

Enter the Host Name and click the “Registration” button; You may use alpha and numerical characters as well as hyphens for your Host Name. (i.e. [A~Z], [a~z], [0~9] or [-] for your host name and it is case sensitive). You should see your host name as follows; Registration will be complete once you click the “OK” and “Save” button. 4.1.

A DVR Server Management window will appear. Enter your domain name in the “IP Address” field at the Server Connect window. (Refer to your S/W manual for more detailed instructions.

Network Configuration 5.1 DVR network setup Go to the DVR software -> Setup -> Network This is an item to designate basic matters so that system may be connected to network. ▪ Public IP Subscriber To set Public IP by clicking “setup”. ▪ Private IP Subscriber Private IP requires ‘Proxy Setting’ for web monitoring.

Click the “ADD” button after type Server name, Site code(100-001), Server IP address, User ID, User password. And click the “SAVE” button to save the information. Server name Access port Server address User ID Input name in order to identify server. If this access port is different from the access port of the server to be connected, access is rejected.
BDx-Series Installation & User’s Manual 5.3 Router Setup If your DVR system network condition is using private IP in a Local network and you connect the DVR out of the local network, you have to setup Port forwarding or DMZ of each of the IP sharer or router. DVR use port numbers as below.

Advanced Host Name Management If you are using DYNAMIC addressing from your ISP (Internet Service Provider), you will need to register with our DDNS service. We recommend that you first determine if you are using dynamic addressing and, if so, register your DVR on our DDNS website. You do not need to register with our DDNS service if you were supplied a STATIC IP address from your ISP.

Please check your ID with the “[check]” button to make sure the ID you choose is available. Choose your Password (which also must be more than 4 and less than 12 characters, alpha and or numerical). Confirm your (Password). Enter your Name and E-Mail address. 4. The registration will be complete once you click the “OK” button.

After login, click the “Registration” button to go to the Server Registration page. 3. At the Server Registration page, enter the “Serial Number” and “Registration No.” which is attached to the rear of the unit. 4. Choose a “Host Name”. Remember: the ID and password you used to register with our DDNS service is separate and not the same as your “Host Name”.

BDx-Series Installation & User’s Manual 3. Host Name Management You can register multiple host names at the DDNS Service website. You can also edit or delete your host name here at anytime. When you click your URL from the Domain Name LIST, you can access a specific DVR by your web browser. The “Status” column shows the elapsed time since your last update.
BDx-Series Installation & User’s Manual First, check box next to: “Hostname management” to activate the related window. Enter the Serial Number and Registration Number and click the “Test” button. You should see your host name as follows; Registration will be complete once you click the “OK” and “Save” button. You should see your registered host name in the Host Name space. If the space does not display your host name, please follow the steps below.
BDx-Series Installation & User’s Manual Serial Number and Registration Number are necessary items for DDNS Service activation. Please make sure you register it accurately. The authentication numbers are provided on two tags, one will be attached to back of the unit and the other will be attached to side of the package. Remove the tag from the package and attach to your DVR system.

Live Mode You can move to search, screen capture, backup, two way communication, log-out, emergency recording, single channel search, setup and E-map mode. ① It indicates the current date, time, day and IP address. ② It is used for search, screen capture, backup, two way communication, log-out, emergency recording, single channel search, setup and E-map. ③ It is used for audio control, PTZ control, color adjustment and program shut down.
BDx-Series Installation & User’s Manual You can check and confirm the current operating status by the icons on left/right top. It indicates recording / playback status. It indicates channel number It indicates camera name, which is set in setup -> camera. It indicates emergency recording status. It indicates motion detection recording status. When there is any change in the area set in setup -> motion detection, it records if motion detection recording is set in setup -> recording schedule.

And, it offers live screen of channel and PTZ control if available and authorized. 2.1 single channel search It saves searched data or live screen in full motion video. If you click button, saving starts and stops with another click. It captures searched data or live screen in still shot. If you click button, it capture the screen and ask for path and file name to save in.
BDx-Series Installation & User’s Manual 3. PTZ / color adjustment mode Control Pan / Tilt / Zoom.. PAN/TILT control is available when controller such as Rx Receiver is installed. If you click PTZ control button in live mode, the following control screen appears. You click this button to switch to live mode. ‘Use PTZ’ shall be checked in ‘setup’ -> ‘camera’ for Pan/Tilt control and in case plural cameras are connected, you select camera connected with Pan/Tilt driver using this button.

If you click screen printing button, shape of mouse cursor changes like this click on mouse over the requested screen, capture mode screen will appear. 1) Save to diskette It supports JPG and BMP format. If you click button, the following screen will appear. It saves after selecting path, file name and file type. 72 mouse cursor.

Search Click the search button in live mode 5.1 Recording data playback 5.1.1 Selection of date, channel and time of playback ▪ You select date you want on the calendar on the screen. Date of pink color means that there are recording data. ▪ You can see as a large calendar screen by clicking the button 74 .

Detailed setup per menu is possible after selecting a tap. 6.1 System 1) Installing location Install the location DVR is installed which indicates as DVR name when CMS is connected. 2) Automatic rebooting Can start or finish the program at a certain time if activated by clicking Set regular rebooting time monthly, weekly and daily with power-off.
