What you will need:
BUY YARN
As you knit with this ombre yarn it changes
in value including dark and lighter shades
of the same hue. The simple pattern stitch
shows off the colors effectively and makes it
a great pattern for socializing as you knit!
Scarf measures 10" [25.5 cm] wide x
90" [229 cm] long.
NOTE
When joining new skein, pick up new
skein within same color section as old
skein.
PATTERN STITCH
Basketweave Stitch (multiple of 4
sts + 4)
Rows 1, 3 & 5 (Right Side): K3, *p2, k2;
repeat from * across to last st, k1.
Rows 2, 4 & 6: P3, *k2, p2; repeat from *
across to last st, p1.
Rows 7, 9 & 11: K1, *p2, k2; repeat from *
across to last 3 sts, p2, k1.
Rows 8, 10 & 12: P1, *k2, p2; repeat from
* across to last 3 sts, k2, p1.
Repeat Rows 1-12 for Basketweave st.
SCARF
Cast on 40 sts.
Beginning with Row 1, work in
Basketweave st until piece measures 90"
[229 cm] from beginning.
Bind off loosely.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
