10.3 BLADE MOUNTING TORQUE
Center bolt 40Nm-50Nm, to insure safe operation of your unit. ALL nuts and bolts must be checked periodically for correct
tightness.
After prolonged use, especially in sandy soil conditions, the blade will become worn and lose some of the original shape. Cutting
efficiently will be reduced and the blade should be replaced. Replace with an approved factory replacement blade only. Possible
damage resulting from blade unbalance condition is not the responsibility of the manufacturer.
When you change the blade, Must use the original type marked on the blade (Cobra 263001679)
10.4 ENGINE
Refer to the separate engine manual for engine maintenance instructions.
Maintain engine oil as instructed in the separate engine manual packed with your unit. Read and follow instructions carefully.
Service air cleaner as per separate engine manual under normal conditions.
Clean every few hours under extremely dusty conditions. Poor engine performance and flooding usually indicates that the air
cleaner should be serviced.
To service the air cleaner, refer to the separate engine manual packed with your unit.
The spark plug should be cleaned and the gap reset once a season. Spark plug replacement is recommended at the start of each
mowing season; check engine manual for correct plug type and gap specifications.
Clean the engine regularly with a cloth or brush. Keep the cooling system (blower housing area) clean to permit proper air
circulation which is essential to engine performance and life. Be certain to remove all grass, dirt and combustible debris from the
muffler area.
10.5 CLEAN THE DECK AND CUTTING BLADE
WARING: Before cleaning, stop mower and disconnect spark plug cable.
WARING: The cutting blade continues to rotate for a few seconds after the engine is shut off.
NOTE: Before cleaning, remove the grass bag and discharge channel, and then mount the mulching wedge.
To clean the mower deck underneath follow these steps:
1. Insert the hose connector into the cleaning hole-connector on the deck; ensure they are firmly connected (Fig.15A, Fig.15B);
2. Insert another end of the hose into the water tap and then open the switch
3. Connect the spark plug cable and then start the engine as same as the section 7.2;
4. After operating about five minutes, stop the water and the engine (disconnect the spark plug connection) and check the deck
and cutter, repeat steps 3 to 5 as necessary.
5. After cleaning take away the hose, and store in a clean and safety place;
6. Wipe the water from the deck and cutter surface, and then lightly grease the cutter to avoid corrosion and rust.
