5  NEXT?: If there are any changes to be made, use the arrow keys to locate the field to be 
changed, use the numeric keys to enter the corrected information, and press “YES/ENTER” 
to accept the new data. If all fields are acceptable, move the cursor to the “NEXT?” field and 
press the “YES/ENTER” key to accept and move on to the next dose programming screen.  
When the total number of doses is programmed, the pump will display the Variable Summary 
screen. 
The summary screen indicates the total number of doses programmed and the total time and 
volume required. The fields on this screen cannot be modified. 
Variable Summary Screen 
1  TOT DOSES: The field displays the total number of doses programmed. If correct, press 
the “YES/ENTER” key to accept and move to the next field. 
2  TOT Time: The pump calculates the total time required to deliver the total number of doses.  
Press the “YES/ENTER” key to accept and move to the next field. 
3  REQ VOL (Required Volume): The pump calculates the total volume required to deliver the 
doses. Press the “YES/ENTER” key to accept and move to the next field. 
4  DONE?: If any of the information is NOT acceptable, press the “YES” key and then the 
“NO” key at the Run Options screen. The display will return to the Pre-Prescription and 
Prescription screens to allow changes to be made. When all fields are acceptable, move the 
cursor to the “DONE?” field and press the “YES/ENTER” key to move on to the next 
screen. 
Before the infusion is started, it is important to consider a few 
remaining issues, such as checking the administration set to be sure 
it was primed or purged of all air, or perhaps the pump may need to 
be put into a security lock setting for additional safety. 
The following screen offers four choices: 
Run Options Screen 
Note that you do not need to answer yes or no questions or enter data with the numeric keys as 
previously requested. This screen requires only that you press the corresponding key on the 
keypad to begin the requested function. The following explains each selection beginning with 
Prime:
