Alert: Cancellation of a Clinician Dose is pending and can only be processed with
the pump running.
Cause: Clinician Dose in progress is cancelled while the infusion is paused; and
the user attempts to enter a new Clinician Dose, prior to resuming the
infusion
Resolution: Resume the infusion and then program the desired Clinician Dose.
LCD Display: ALERT DOSE FREQ LESS THAN DOSE TIME
Alert: Dose frequency time is less than the time required to infuse the
programmed dose
Cause: The dose frequency value entered is less than the time required to infuse
the programmed dose amount.
Resolution: Recheck data entry. Dose frequency cannot be less than required time for
dose to infuse.
LCD Display: ALERT EMPTY BAG
Alert: Empty Bag
Cause: Occurs when the volume infused for the prescription is equal to the “Bag
Vol”. Bag Vol may have been reduced due to priming.
Resolution: Verify that the volume remaining in the source container is sufficient to
complete the current therapy. If the volume is insufficient, add another
source container or stop the infusion.
LCD Display: ALERT EXCEEDS POSSIBLE DOSES PER HR
Alert: Unable to enter # of boluses/hr that would be possible given the
programmed bolus amount
Cause: # Boluses/hr value exceeds the possible # given the bolus amount.
Resolution: Recheck data entered. The # of boluses per hour cannot exceed the time
required to deliver the bolus amount programmed.
LCD Display: ALERT EXTERNAL POWER DISCONNECTED
Alert: External power source disconnected
Cause: External power source is disconnected during pump operation.
Resolution: Reestablish external power source, or let pump continue to operate on
batteries.
Note: The battery level should be checked after the external source is
disconnected to gage if additional batteries will be required before
an external power source is available again.
LCD Display: ALERT FIELD NOT ACCEPTED
Alert: Field Not Accepted
Cause: The field indicated by the flashing cursor has not been accepted.
