LCD Display: ALARM EMPTY BATTERY 
Alarm:  Empty Battery 
Cause:   The battery no longer has sufficient power to run the pump. (If the 
battery pack is being used, both it and the “C size” batteries are depleted). 
Resolution:   Turn the pump off. Replace both of the “C size” batteries. Recharge or 
replace the battery pack if applicable. 
LCD Display:  ALARM HIGH UP PRESSURE 
Alarm:  High positive pressure between the pump and IV reservoir 
Cause:   The pump has detected excessive positive pressure between the pump and 
the IV Source. 
Resolution:  Press Pause to clear alarm screen. Check for excessive pressure on the IV 
bag and relieve it. When ready to begin infusion, select RESUME. 
LCD Display:  ALARM REPLACE SET# 
Alarm:  Replace Set 
Cause:   The pump has detected that the disposable administration set must be 
replaced. 
Resolution:  Replace the disposable administration set, prime the set if necessary, and 
when ready to begin infusing, select RESUME to continue the infusion. 
LCD Display:  ALARM SET NOT INSTALLED 
Alarm:  Administration Set Not Installed 
Cause:   The administration set has not been installed or has been installed 
improperly. 
Resolution:  Install appropriate Curlin Medical Administration set for desired therapy. 
Use ONLY Curlin Medical Administration sets. If the blue tubing guide 
on the administration set has been damaged in any way, replace the entire 
administration set. See Chapter entitled Introduction, Figures 1.9 and 1.10 
for proper installation of administration set. 
LCD Display:  ALARM UNATTENDED PUMP 
Alarm:  No key presses have occurred while the pump was paused 
Cause:   When a therapy is in progress and a pump is placed in a paused state and 
left unattended for more than two minutes, this alarm will sound. If the 
prime menus are left unattended for one minute, this alarm will sound 
Resolution:   Press the “PAUSE” key to clear the alarm screen. If required, return to 
the screen displayed at the time of the alarm and complete the activity that 
was in progress, or resume the infusion, or turn the pump off.
